Expanding items tooltip size?

I've seen some maps having novels as tooltips, but it seems there are some tricks involved. There's pretty strict letter cap on the normal tooltips, as the text gets cropped in game. I need to get rid of this letter-cap. Does anybody know how to?

You will most likely use enough of |n. It expands the size.

Return/Changing line? That expands the size more than the new line takes? I mean, I'm trying to room enough letters, how does it help changing line?

Not sure if this helps or not, but when I am writing item tooltips for my recipe the editor always cuts me off. So I have to copy the field value of the tooltip string and use a sort of "dummy icon" to set it's tooltip to my copied one. Then I copy it back and it allows me to keep on typing.

Thanks. I must admit I didn't quite understand the process with the dummy icon thing.

But we are on the same problem right? I'm allowed to write a long text in the tooltip textbox in the editor, but the text is cropped away in game.

Wy you need such long tooltips?
Nobody wants to read so much =/. seriously

and yay there is no way.
if you press shift you may make it as long as you want, but it gets cut off like you said

I guess I won't need it. I have made like 10 unique epic items where each of them had some kind of a legend to it, similar to those that came with Frozen Throne. I've written all damn ten legends, so it was a hell of a waste of time! hehe.

What irritates me is that the textbox allowes me to keep on writing, so I don't know exactly when I'm at the limit. If I'm going to shorten them down.
