Do you think of yourself as the ultimate mazer? A clever brain is certainly needed for this unique tower defence! With the construction obstacles of mazing, and the unique combining possibilities. You need to include every factor in your maze in order to get the perfect result! Up for the challenge? Follow my progress as the tower defence moves along.

A brief introduction

* Name: Real Estate TD
* Author: Foopad
* Stage: That map is at an alpha stage (far from finished)
* Gameplay: The map is basically a tower defence. There is a twist! You need to expand and buy your own ground in order to do a better maze. Therefore mazing is a big part of this TD.

A few screenshots from inside the editor!

As seen on the last picture there is a public road, which can be used by anyone, although if you try to build a maze on the road the attackers would only run to the non-public area. This is making mazing very hard, but fear not! You can buy your own property and through that maze even more!

In the map there is different types of ground. First you buy a basic estate, this is a little house that will change the ground to something buildable, after this point you can upgrade the property of yours. So far there are four upgrades that each increase the size of your property plus have an advantage.

Fire: Grants every building in range of the estate house increased attack damage.
Ice:Grants every building in range of the estate house increased attack speed
Dark:Whenever a building is build on this ground it's granted the ability "Ability of Darkness"
Nature:Whenever a building is build on this ground it's granted the ability "Poisen"

Lightning Rod
Description: The Lightning Rod protects you from lightning, and can sometimes on hit do a circle of lightning to strike down your enemies!
Damage: 20
Speed: Average
Special: Has a chance on hit to do a circle of lightning damaging anyone in the lightning.
(Side note, since the progress of the map is very little I haven't created many special towers yet. My main focus is getting the levels and general gameplay done first.)

The team: Currently I am the only member of the team and I am not sure wether not I should include others to the project. If you feel like joining this project please PM with your skills and why you think you're appropiete for the job.
I have experince with:
Spells
General Map Making
+ Special upgrade possibilties
+ New Items
+ New ability
+ Redone spawning system/killing system
+ More levels
+ Redone money distribution

The concept is very interesting! However, the terrain is really plain.

Anyway, how much land do you buy each time? 1x1 cell? 2x2 cell?

Good luck! I would love to see how this turns out.

The land you buy differs. The way of assigning terrain via. the editor is actually giving me some trouble :(.
Here is the trigger for the normal type of land you buy.
  • Basic Dirt
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Finishes construction
    • Conditions
    • Actions
      • Set TempLoc = (Position of (Triggering unit))
      • If (All Conditions are True) then do (Then Actions) else do (Else Actions)
        • If - Conditions
          • (Unit-type of (Triggering unit)) Equal to Estate (Basic)
        • Then - Actions
          • Environment - Change terrain type at TempLoc to Village Fall - Dirt using variation -1 in an area of size 2 and shape Square
          • Custom script: call RemoveLocation (udg_TempLoc)
        • Else - Actions
I am not sure this is the final method of buying land, I am thinking of doing it in a different way.

You don't like my terrain? I am a sad panda, I'm no pro terrainer but I think I did good :). Have in mind that the terrain is far from finished :)
