This is one hell of a model. This actually is worth DC, just consider fixing the Attack Spell animations, when his hair goes up there is big hole in his head.
Now that's something! love it! A bit more detail and high quality textures on the armor would have been nice, especially the shoulder plates (as you've been going for HQ on the skin texture and the hair) it would fit better together. Would still seem warcrafty, but the archimonde/doom guard textures just look bad.
Also, a more slow and epic walk animation would be nice.
While I was looking at this one in the model viewer I was thinking, "I bet this was Direfury" You have a certain style with your models and animations and I really like it. Nice job on this one.
Well , good work . and now i wish u decide to remake the version of the Burning Legion . Such as Dreadlord , Pitlord ... U know , there are lots of named Demon lord , and we only have each one type model with them .
I think you should consider making his Portrait Stand animation a little less exagerated. Remember, although regular wc3 animations require to be pretty cartoonish since they are viewed from standard camera point, the portrait is much closer to view, and thus details are bigger. In this case his head bobs up and down due to the breathing-motion he's doing, which isn't wrong by itself, but could be made a little more subtle
This is an awesome model. I really like this one. I also like how its animations follow closely the animations of this model's WOW model counterparts, like doomguard models. The effect on the sword is a bit ugly though, and so are the wings. The wings are kind of small too. However, overall this is a great one.
Amazing! I Always found standard Doom Guards a bit ugly due to their small blades and unrealistically small bits of armour. How ever, I've got a small suggestion for you: Please just copy and paste every single animation he has and make his eyes burn green fire! Like an alternate stand for spells/buffs. But that's just a suggestion, good job.
Awesome model, could be used as a pure Demon Lord or Warcraft I style Daemon! The melee animations look very nice and feel like they pack a punch, good job on that.
The only thing that bugs me is that only the pauldrons are team-colored. I know that the standard Doomguard only had those parts team-coloured as well, but it was not necessarily a good decision. The red colour of his skin makes the team colour even harder to see, so I think you could improve the model by adding team-colour to the lower black armor bits as well.
But it's not a major problem, I don't think there's gonna be that many Doom Emperors on the same map at any given time to confuse players.
What unit was this one based one, anyway, this model is great, it reminds me of something, I just can't remember, could use more team color but the rest is great, can I create my own icon for this?
#1, this is, in my opinion, almost better than Jigrael's version of this. I mean, his is obviously more detailed & more perfect, but this fits much better into Warcraft 3, so in my mind they vie for supremacy.
#2, I love the wrapping & all that. The face & crown are especially good; a unique look with standard textures.
#3, "Doom Emperor" is such a cool name. Not many people respect the craft of good naming, but it's really important.
#4, I said it before but I'll say it again; this should've been an entry in the "Promotion" Modeling Contest (man, we should do that again...). Perfect example of a "Hero-ized" Doom Guard.
