Do passive spells work in spellbook?

I want to add passive spells to my heroes in spellbook. I was wondering whether they work or not.

Also check this thread Metamorphosis vs abilities, it's something you need to know if you're going to use spellbooks is that if you don't use this method your abilities will disapear from the unit if they use any form of morphinh (Crow Form, Bear Form, Metamorphosis etc.)
