This is my first model, worked on it for about half an hour, it is a footman with out a shield or sword or that weird thing on his helmet.

No, no and no. Read the goddamned rules. No minor changes like weapon/equipment movements are allowed.

Look at the model section. There is a thread called Weaponless Models. It's a sticky thread you shouldn't missed it and haven't wasted you time on that little pansy model.
