Good afternoon. My congratulations on keeping this site active and healthy over the years, it must certainly take a lot of work - and it shows.

I'd like to please request that somebody share the secret of skipping the World Editor welcome screen and sound which appear when opening the application each time. I have scoured the Internet for some time to no avail. Perhaps I'm just not hitting the right words with my searching, and my attempts to remove it have not succeeded as yet.

I know it's a small issue in the grand scheme of things, and something of a meta problem, but given that I expect to be opening the World Editor hundreds of times, the seconds and sanity saved by bypassing the screen will add up.

Please note that for now I'm looking for a solution to the standard World Editor and don't consider whatever alternative editors there might be that don't have this feature to be a solution.

Thanks for your time!

The powerful options allow you to do that. World editor options can be found in the menubar under File/preferences.
The prefernce menu has multiple sections. Select the section General and uncheck "Show Splash Dialog". With that no Welcome to world editor will be shown anymore.
Though that option might not exist for any version, in 1.31 it exists but has a missing WEString.

There are other options in that preferences you might like to change.

Thank you. I'm currently using 1.26a, which does not seem to feature that option, but I will keep looking.
