Diablo section?

Would you like to see the HiveWorkshop feature a Diablo section with a matching forum theme style etc.?

I agree with Donut3.5 , We have a Warcraft and a Starcraft section so why wouldn't we have a Diablo section , And once again I agree with Donut3.5 about the section theme , Starcraft didn't get a own theme.

Yes, but the thing is: Starcraft is an upcoming game. We're expected to shift to it after it comes out. 10 million people play WoW. The WoW forum was basically created to keep all the WoW threads in one place.

But Diablo? Diablo's a great game, I lurves it, but it's old. I mean, if they were making a Diablo III I'd be all for it, but as it stands, I think we can do without one.

Perhaps a section for Diablo "lore, art, story, fan fiction, ect" specifically? And not for the modding/playing of the game itself?

This way, when Diablo 3 is announced (if it does get announced) we already have a template forum ready to go, that we can expand into, that isn't filled with diablo "modding" but is filled with all the necesarry tools to refresh your memory and interest and prepare for its arrival.

There are many that still do play Diablo, though.

A diablo section should be easy to make a basic version of, as you can use some diablo II textures for borders and simlar things. That differes from SC2 where most of the content is from eithor blizzards website or are fan made.

However, we will have to wait and see.

I will be willing to help people on 3/4 servers (especially europe and a bit on east (less still on west)) just to get the forum going by giving low powered good items or rushes.

However that is if the forum is made.

Anyway, I've been searching for a better version of the old Diablo image:



In this case it is used as the cover for a PS game and is in very bad "shape" as you can see.

I belive it's the one that shows up when installing Diablo 1. So if someone knows the whereabouts of such image in better quality or has Diablo 1 and can take a screenshot of the setup it would be much appreciated if you would post the image here

Hehe, I should get ahold of Diablo 1 again I wanna play it just for the story which I consider to be freakin' genious.. Although the game Diablo itself could much better when it concerns gameplay. If Diablo 3 finally does come, not only would I expect one hell of continuation of the saga, but also a more varied gameplay so that you don't just walk about killing demons and undeads all the time..

They should get inspiration from Westwood's Nox

What still confuses me, is why I have never seen anything like a movie from Blizzard... Look at the quality of the trailers, and the cinematics in Diablo 2 and WC3!

With bink/smacker tools and the magos model editor, you can open the diablo mpq's and view the movies from there.

However, on the topic of Diablo 1...that game was so incredible. I still often look back at its dark atmosphere for inspiration on a number of things.

You don't get 'elected'. The Staff chooses you. Provided we have a Diablo section, Archian will choose the staff I believe.

Being a Mod or not, doesent show how much experience you have in Diablo.We will see how experimented are the ''chosen ones''.

If we get a diablo II section I would probably help moderate it a lot and if nescescary could get my brother to help as well as both of us know a lot about Diablo II (my brother I think knows a bit too much as he can name a large number of uniques off by heart and in Unidentified form). Although I do not have very good characters I will undoughtably help members with diablo II lod online in the ladder.

But without a dought other mods would be made but untill the section is near completion, it is of no worry to anyone who will be the mods for the section.

I remember there being some kind of cinematic at the end where your player stabs the horn into his head, that could look good on a CD cover ^^
