Diablo III Warcraft Beta v1.19b



This map has been based on the Diablo III Gameplay Video. You may even recognise a few of the in-game events if you've seen it! Please remember that this is a beta version, and may still contain bugs. Anyone can host this online, just let me know if you find any major flaws in the game :)

A message to everyone:
As you have noticed the project is getting slower and slower as time goes, and we (the d3w crew) does not have enough time to spend on working on this project, specially with starcraft 2 beta out and so on.
So do not expect to much.

Also, woah, page 256, it is a sign.. Maybe we just cant handle a higher number? (if you know what i mean :p)

As it is cloudwolfs part of the job to make the terrain, i do not really know if we will see any new terrain in this map. He is busy with life, his website and so on. He just doesn't have the time to work on the map right now. I think cloudwolf is going to make a thread about this in the near future.

I did DOWNLOAD the patch manually from trustable sources.
Download+Doubleclick+Run=PREPATCH FAILED...
Which was quite confusing because I tried to play a 1.24 only game and crashed......back to my desktop...well not really I was just ready to play then my screen went blank...

Oh well, just tell me what the new one is like... either in full detail or just a video glimpse...:cry::cry::cry::cry:

it's paused and sc2 will be released (one day, im sure!) soon

i doubt there will be any further versions, but well im open to surprises :p


i think i will stop making maps for warcraft 3, maybe, maaaaaaybe i start mapping on sc2, but since the style is much different from warcraft i doubt that
exept there will be a lot of good non-futuristic models :p

He said that he possibly could just give me the entire project so i would be the new owner and developer of it, but i said no. I have the same problem as cloudwolf, i simply do not have time to work on it either.
I may decide to do a comeback later on if it turns out that i get more time to work on the project.
The other option would be to give away the project to someone we know can develop it.
We do not want to give it to someone that end up trashing it, we want this map to live on.
I will ask CloudWolf to make a post regarding all this later.

What about that guy who made the Diablo 3 Borderlands map?
Sure he could make a different languaged map but someone should be able to translate it.

Or we could simply make the map open-sourced and let anyone continue from there or simply use the resources. I doubt anyone would be foolish enough to use the map in its current state.

Well, if you heard cloudwolfs and my conversation you would understand what i mean with all this >.<
Most mods of this map that is out already, is entire remake of the map, new terrain, bosses, EVERYTHING, it is just based on this map.
We want someone to continue working with this actual map, saving the terrain, bosses etc, but are still allowed to edit it freely. It would be just like an new official owner that continues on the same map rather then remaking it entierly.

A nice upgrade can be doing more path, more subquests, subbosses. Another thing is: I've played alone whit barbarian and monk wining the map, without cheating, just playing. I think you should difficult monsters killiability when more players are in cooperative mode, maybe a time respawn monster can be added to gain more level xD and more item variability and drop chance to complete sets.

Okay so first of, he already work on another diablo 3 map based on this one, why change to this when he already work on something original.
And like you said, it will be wrong language, and no, there isnt really anything wrong with using your native language, it is just that the map is suppost to be playable by everyone, no matter what gaming skills they have, or what language they speak and so on.
So i do not think that would be a good choice.
I have another person in mind, and i think cloudwolf is going to ask him, but i am not sure, and i will not reveal who it is yet.

Perhaps the author should allow taking a copy of the map with the work done so far. I am sure many talents to be able to add many and things would work in community. At the end is for the delight of us all.

Well I really would like to continue this project, but my terraining skills are awful.
When it comes to vJass, I am quite advanced I think.

If I find time I will tell you here and then we might recruit a new team.

I do not think this map will require any terrain editing for quite a while.
What really is required is recoding, new spells, rebalance, etc, and your are good at all those things i think :p
