Diablo III Warcraft Beta v1.19b



This map has been based on the Diablo III Gameplay Video. You may even recognise a few of the in-game events if you've seen it! Please remember that this is a beta version, and may still contain bugs. Anyone can host this online, just let me know if you find any major flaws in the game :)

As you may have noticed, all items is customs so we may add sets later.

I want this map to get a new mod review since its very outdated.

lol, its true :D we were back at version 1.02 when it got rated by RUI, so it about time we got a new one ;)

But tbh, the user ratings speak for themselves anyways :D


As for the inventory system, just try your best :) If you really are that stuck though, we can always get some outside help, or adapt one from the spell section to use our layout, with permission of course ;)

Either way, you've still been of great help :D

My advice is to stay away from them and try to not start a competition.
Also i dont want to start a blame war like befor in the topic.
We can to the terrain better but that would be like remaking the ENTIRE TERRAIN inside the dungeons becouse the floor is builded with heigh and lowering not with cliffs.
And i think they are more then 3 persons.
We might build the terrain like they do in the next map but remaking this one is a waste of time cus you can just play their map if you want that terrain :p

Also with the updates, ive been making some more changes to version 1.13 :) Changes I've made so far include:

- Item typo fixes
- Minor terrain tweaking
- Changes the barbarians cleave to be casted, rather than permanent :)
- Added those trees before the final boss
- Removed the attack speed increase from agility points
- Increased the armour bonus per agility to make up for it :)
- Buffed up various creeps to make the game harder
- Reward for saving Decard Cain
- 2 New items throughout the map
- Ghosts in chest trap now deal magic damage instead of normal

Have I missed anything? xD

Yes, its similar to the selection system on diablo3.com.
I can make it better but its pretty much the same.
I think you just have to click one time to get the hero, i was going to make so that you have to click two times, first you get the units info, then you select, but i never completed it. You can send me the new version and i can make one from scratch? and you make the selection areas terrain? ^_^

Cant you just download it again from the PM i sended or did you delete it? :p

Example.. Ninjas. Very high agi, but then over ninethousand armor. As they shud be very vulnerable.


Yes the example is nothing about ur map, but in RPGs its annoying that with massing agi you can gain insane as AND armor and if we do some ehp counting, armor -> hp.

Y like cloudwolf is telling, d3 isnt using sockets how i know with runes, ok maybe of you put more runes, but i think only one rune implant is possible, dunno; anyway, if you put fire rune on teleport spell, you got fire dmg AOE at the point you are teleporting. Y you have to make lots of spells depending what rune you are using, spell preleoading at the start... lots of work, do if you want this only :). But would be good bonus to map. I suggest to do that if project wont die after d3 comes out.

Sheep got the point about agil, agil and defense are two different things... dunno why is armor related to agility... probbly coz agil=speed=armor(evae damage) Oo.
HP,HP reg,armor,Strenght
IAS,(Evade?),Dexterity - Skill in performing tasks, especially with the hands.
MP,MP reg(Spell dmg?)-Inteligence
And agility should be related to IAS and MS.
[But for me its all good as it is now]

Demo will be probbly there in 7th month. It took 4 months to update with 1 bonus monster :D , they ant showint us anything -.-' , with SC2 same... i think i saw new gameplay video on some site from D3 btw.

bboy-tiger-, agi gives armor insted of evade becouse that is easier and that makes wc3 balanced. This is not an arena where you can get 10000 agility and be imba.
Now its as balanced as a normal warcraft 3 map since we havent edited the atributes at all.

Cloud talked about that befor. After we have created a fair player handicap system, we can just make so that player one can change that handicap ingame and that way you would be able to choose difficults. So if your 3 persons, you can play at the same difficults as 6 players normaly have and things like that.
Wouldnt be hard to implement, we just need to balance the player handicap system.

The Best Map Ever..

Hello, I have played your map and it is really one of the best maps of Diablo that has never played.
Ok, I Have several advice that I would like to be implemented in your map.

Models:
:fp: Improves the barbarian, remove him the banner in his back and improvement his face making it less orc and more human.
:fp: Improves the Witch Doctor, take out him that dinosaur tail and making it more similar to witch Doctor of Gameplay.
:fp: Improves the wizard, Make her to walk not to fly
:fp: Make PaperDoll like models [models change according to the objects that take equipped]
:fp: Add the female models of the Barbarian and the Witch Doctor, and the male model of the Wizard.
:fp: The King Leoric should have a mace, not an axe.
:fp: Add more personalyzed models, that way, all the enemies not be the same.

Playability:
:fp: In King Leoric, add some Healing Globes. Its Impossible in Single Player.
:fp: You can also add AI to play in single player.

And a thousand pounder in form of an abomination instead of a furbolg ^^

Beleive it or not, they're not done yet lol :/ The new witch doctor spells are pretty much sorted, and theres not much that needs to be done to the barbarian either :D But! It turns out that the person I had working on the Wizard Spells isnt actually making anything :S

So I'm gonna need to hire someone for that xD

Hopefully won't be too much longer though :) Things take longer when you rely on outside help :S

Yah, working on new spells with other persons can be a pain in the a## if it isn't arranged well. And importing the stuff from one map to another is a## too, since all these copying and reopening the map... >_<

So, gonna have a look at the new version now.

Edit: BTW, could someone please tell me how to use hidden tags? What kind of options shall I enter there? I don't get it^^

Edit2: Ahh nice to see that you improved some items. I've always got the feeling that they were (maybe they still are) way too weak and thus didn't really matter.

Edit3: Hmm I still think the items have to little effect. I mean stuff like +2 to all stats... you gain almost nothing by wearing it. Or + 8 damage when you have like 60 base damage. That are less than 15% improvement.
However, I wanna note that it's much more enjoyable to play the game now compared to it's first versions :O

Other stuff I've recognized (played single player):
Balance for a single player is quite out of the questions, because you've somewhat no chance to bash multiple 1000+ hp monsters with a single hero. For example I was able to get to the trap treasure with the barbarian, but that gave me the rest.
Though I know it's not really meant to be played solo, some people do and would like better balance there.

The new Cleave is better now but I suggest you take another base ability for it so you have no cast time and you're combat doesn't get stopped for a moment. The "Berserk" skill for example can be used without interrupted s.th..

And at last, you might take a look at the barbarians movement animation. He takes too much steps for his speed which looks a bit odd.

In my opinion,the original Diablo game by Blizzard is a piece of **it. I could even say that this map is much better than the original game.Keep up the good work CloudWolf.
