I'm thinking of making a map where:
You equip various weapons, from melee one handed weapons, to two handed, to ranged.
Various kinds will be available, guns(maybe), bows, swords, axes, maces, flails.
And there will be three pivotal things to keep in mind: Hunger(Replaces food) Thirst(replaces wood) and health(you take too many blows, not fed, and you'll die! Lack of water slowly depletes your health, while a lack of being fed will quickly kill)
What would be the storyline? any ideas on how to separate it from the rest?
And what kind of weapons? Will it be primitive swords and bows? or have modern weapons?

do pitch in ideas.

How about

You are a man stuck in the outskirts of _(Insert what name of town)_ by a mission, which was given out to you by XPO Agencies. You must find the reason why the creatures in the fields start mutating. Being a veteran soldier, you accepted this quest without second thoughts. BUT, that is a big mistake. You were sent out. No food. No water. No weapons. Just your fists to keep yourself alive. Hunted down by mutated creatures, you learn to live, using the environment as a part of your body. Using a bamboo as a primitive spear, a hand woven branches to make a shield. Eating fruits and remains of un-mutated creatures. Purifying the water in the river, so that you can drink. Now the mission is unfolding, and the reason behind this mutating creatures is none other than, your BROTHER.

A fast paced survival/hack and slash, with puzzles! Be smart at using resources, they are limited. Your backpack will slow you down, if you have too much items. Mutated creatures are smelling your scent and going to kill you.

Hunger - Feed yourself by finding food! Do NOT eat mutated creatures. Except if you find a way to purify them...

Thirst - Being thirsty means dehydration and will deplete your health. Drinking too much is going to slow you down.

Energy - If you don't sleep, the screen will start to blur and shaking. If your energy is too low, then movement speed, accuracy will greatly decrease. Sleeping also regenerates health. But if you can find Barako nearby, then it will give you a boost that you need...

Adrenaline - Being nearby with so many monsters will cause your adrenaline meter to rocket upwards. Your movement speed will be faster, ignoring the backpack and other negative meters. Beware at using though. Using this will cause your energy to deplete faster.

---

Weapons must be primitive since you are in a forest/outskirts of a town.

Bows - A moderate damage dealer. You can use woven tree branches as a quiver and bamboo as arrows.

Sword - You must use a sharp stone, a stick, and vines to tie up the sword. Deals moderate-high damage.

-Digging- You must not have any weapons at hand. Digs for iron ores.

Iron Sword - Iron ore that is heated by fire, cooled in the river and hammered by another ore. High Damage.

Shovel - Iron ore and a tree trunk. Can be used to find further ores. Deals low damage.

( Etc. Too bored to add others )
