So I've created this High Elf Spell Breaker skin in gimp that looks as follows:

but when I export it from gimp and import it into my map it looks like this:

I believe Reforged models need an emission map. Did you edit/import with it?

For example, if you look at this submitted model you'll see there's an emission map included. Blood Elf Ranger (Reforged)

I didn't alter the emissive skin/file so I assumed it would use the original. Am I wrong to assume that? And is that what's causing this issue?

Dumb question first: was it imported for HD versus SD?

Second question: how was it exported? I'm no expert here but I did run into classic issues with file type when I was a wee' lad. Think there could be some more useful info here Reforged - How to properly import DDS textures?

Set it to HD.

Just used all the default gimp settings tbh.
I've been trying to find a better answer.

I'm not familiar with gimp's exporting. Does it have an option for this setup?:

DXT5
(.DDS obviously)
Alpha Map Preserved
MipMap; yes. Style: Mitchell

Also, does it have an alpha channel? I wonder if one needs to be added. I'm just spitballin' until someone who knows the answer shows up :p

Haha I've tried exporting again with those settings, testing just now will let you know if it works. BLPLab for whatever reason kept destroying the skins whenever I tried it to export in .dds so I updated GIMP instead.

EDIT: Yep works like a charm, seems like it was the settings, probably to do with the mipmaps if I had to guess.

Hello. Looks great! Nice work there! Hey. How do you import customized models properly into map after I edited the models in GIMP and Retera's Model Editor? I am trying to turn Human Transport Ship into full of metal that works almost like those metals on Siege Engine or War Tank, or Footmen in HD. It shows fine in Retera's Model Editor, but it showing like a ice white color in map. If you can, please make a guide on how to change the Human Transport Ship's texture to metal from wood with GIMP and Retera's Model Editor? :)

It's ok. I got it figured out. But, now I am still figuring out what's the name of pathing for the skybox under the terrain. I want to edit it to turn it into back with some stars. I have disappeared the terrain, but the problem is shown in picture below. I tried to changing the sky effects, and it wouldn't change it. It's only shows under the disappeared terrains. But, outside at top or below of the terrains, it's all black as you can see in the picture shown. I know there's got to be a pathing for this. Because if there's no pathing for this, then this texture that looks like cloud with sky wouldn't have showed on background of texture. But, it showed because there's a pathing for texture with a picture of cloud and sky. Also, I see some trees too... and there's some light from sun too... weird...

That's what I figured out, but I just want the pathing for the sky box that shows under terrain's background...

But, this is as far as I can make it happens...

The problem is that it not showing the cliffs in there. Only showing units. Strange. It's sucks... that's why I need to figure out what's the name of pathing for the sky box that is shown under terrain's background of texture. Not the sky from above. The sky box of terrain's background under it.

but, I still wants to know what's the name of pathing for that sky box under terrain's background. Or, I could try pull that sky ball under the terrain to see how it go, but I will have to figure out how to get the sky ball deep down to be under the terrain. Maybe edit the model to go deeper all way down under the surface of standing model, and set this unit to visable to all players with invulnerable. I will keep you all updated.

How do I change those setting in my GIMP? Because I was editing the terrain texture, but it's look like this when I exported it and imported it from GIMP.

EDIT: Okay, I decided to try put black color on it instead of erasing. Now it worked. Hmmmm. I need to figure out how to disappear the textures on cliffs like I did on grounds.
