Care to mention a bit more...

The chest in act 2 was an easy exploit to gain super loot fast. Method farmed it. In the Oasis you would enter a dungeon right near the waypoint. Depending on the randomization, the chest would spawn after 1 pack of monsters.

So what happened was 4 players would make new games, and reset them until the correct dungeon randomized. Than other 3 players would port to that guy, they would kill that 1 pack of mobs, and loot the chest which had imba drops. It was very easy way to gain good loot in a short time.

Idk about the ghost though.

Sounds quite slow to me... Considering every elite pack drops 2 magical or better items. Or are chest in Inferno mode better than those in Hell (rare ratio)?

I think the ghost might be related to one of those monsters of evil. When you enter the crystal arch there is always one standing right on the first bridge. As it is a unique monster it drops good loot. As it is right at the start you can do him repetitively quite quickly.

However weather it really is good is another question as you must remember that the valour buff needs you to kill an elite pack first. In the case of the chest this was clearly a perquisite but in the case of the ghost I am not sure.

the chest was a resplendent, and you don't need valor buff for it. You could do like 30 seconds each run and you don't need to kill mobs in room (I didn't). I got quite a lot of fantastic gear from that chest ;o. A lot of people found 2-3 legendaries per hour.

It's too bad the azzy exploit was patched, that one was my fav... the 2 quests after azzy, I figured out a way to turn that in like 40x per run o-o. One person gained 4 levels in a couple of minutes, lol...

3rd boss. You'd kill him with other people, then the 3 others would leave. #4 would turn in all the quests, then join #3. #4 turns in heart, leaves, resumes, turns in quests, rejoins #3, turns in rest of quests with #3. They join #2, turn in heart, leave/resume, #4 turns in quests, joins #3, turns in quests, joins #2, turns in quests, they all join #1, #1 leaves/resumes. They turn in heart, #3/#4 leave/resume, #4 turns in quests, joins #3, turns in quests, joins #2, turns in quests, joins #1, turns in heart, leaves/resumes, turns in quests, etc, etc, etc. That's 1 run!

Diablo III has no bots as far as I am aware. If it did, they would only play private games to avoid being detected since there is no benefit to playing with more people.

In Diablo II you could get up to 4 times the drops from normal monsters (less for bosses due to the drop cap) by playing with 8 players than playing alone which is why a lot of Diablo and Baal bots ran public games. In Diablo III all drops are unique to each player and there is a chance that more players will cause less drops due to having less perfect MF builds than the bots so they are best used alone.

The "crappy players" people think are bots are actually people from another language or with no communication skills. They are actually human players who play like "crap".

No, there are bots... there are 3 right now ;\. 2 of them cost money, one is free ;p. Warden went up a short while ago, so right now everybody is working at making the bots get around Warden. A maphack was released very shortly after Diablo 3 was released as well. This maphack later turned into the Immortal bot I believe.

Google Diablo 3 bots and you'll quickly learn about the 3 types. The best one right now makes around 310,000 gold per hour.
