Hello everyone!
For many months I have been working on this map, which is a Tower defense map inspired by old Tower Wars 1.1. And now after a long time and a lot of help from this awesome community I am able to present you with a playable version of this map.
This map is not final yet, because some things can still be adjusted and balanced. Also the map terrain will be improved in the upcoming versions.
What means Tower wars?
It is basicaly a tower defense map, where you are not only defending, but also attacking the enemy team.
That said, this map must be played with at least 2 players.
Creeps, that you need to kill, will be only sent by other players. By sending creeps to other teams, you are improving your GOLD income, which you receive every 30 seconds.
Also each player will have 1 slave at start of the game to gather WOOD for you. The wood is then used for upgrades of your towers and your creeps which you send to other players - making them more durable.
Creeps sent in this game by any player do not attack your towers. Their only goal is to reach a certain point on the opponent side and they can only follow the specified routes to reach that point.
Towers, Creeps and other buildings
There are over 50 custom towers with many abilities and over 40 creeps to be sent.
EACH PLAYER HAS :
DEFENSE building with 5 LEVELS and each level has its own builder which can build different types of towers which are strong enough to defend the current level of sent creeps from other players.
SHRINE building with 5 LEVELS as well, that they can use to send creeps to the enemy. Each level has its own unique creeps and also there are creeps with custom abilities, auras and such.
SPECIAL building in which players can find upgrades either for creeps, or for towers. Also there are OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE spells that can be cast upon reaching a certain amount of mana to either help your defense, or to do harm to enemy players.
FARM building to produce more slaves for wood gathering or upgrading the wood gathering of slaves.
Gold / Income
GOLD is very important commodity in this map. You either gain gold for killing creeps that has been sent to your side from enemy, or you increase your gold income by sending creeps.
The more expensive the creep you send, the more income you gain. Also the more expensive the creep is, the more gold you gain for killing it.
Map basics
Each team can have up to 3 players. Gold income and starting gold is balanced if one team has more players then the others. So you can play 2v1, 3v1, 2v3v1, and so on.
Each team has 3 ways (routes) for creeps. These routes intertwine at some specific locations and these locations should be used to build most of your towers.
In the "end area" as I call it, all the routes lead to one final route which leads to a special tombstone. If the creeps reach the tombstone, they explode and remove 1 life from the specific team's life pool.
Balance / Testing
I have been playing this map with my friends the whole time I have been working on it. There has been a lots of balance changes which we agreed on with my friends and the map should be balanced.
But, there are always players with different minds, tactics, game styles, which could find something unbalanced and I will be thankful for any feedback regarding balance.
This map is very competetive, there are many game-styles from hard rush attacking in the first level, or gold saving suprise attacks with harmful spells and so on. So be creative!
I know it is hard to ask for any feedback with map, that needs to be played by at least 2 players. But I would be super glad to read any feedback as it will improve my map.
