Custom Team Colours

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
This is an updated version of the Gold Team Color, so instead of having just the Gold TC itself, I've also included CanaryYellow and MoonlightYellow. :)

This was a Custom Team Color I made. I always felt that Neon Yellow, when mixed with black, appears very ugly.
If for some reason you import this via a file path yet this does not work, then simply use it as texture for a model. Share me your input if you know how to make this playable in-game, because I honestly tried.
If you want to experiment and enjoy, A Void has his own Custom TC system. I used it, and it's much fun! Give him credit.

This is an update for the Player 6 (Orange): Tangerine forum. I've included GoldenCopperBlonde per resource.

This is simply another texture I made, using the original Player 05 Team Color and Glow. Like Yellow and Pink, I always felt that Orange too needs a proper update.
The images show footmen, having both old and new TC, as well as the Alteraci tents colored Tangerine.

Credits to Blizzard for the original texture.

These are blues in which I've included onto the Hive.
The first one is a mix of Blue and Gray, which is based off the Storm Blue (a.k.a. Storm Cloud Blue) color code found online. The other is a replica of Navy from Reforged, but instead of calling it "Navy," I call it "NavyBleu.". Please note that this is for the Classic retail.
For those wondering, "Bleu" means "Blue" in French.

I used Ujimasa Hojo's Footman Model for the demonstration.

FEB 12, 2026:
I've Included the Banners Blue TC into the pack. I've also used the original Banners.blp skin made by Blizzard Entertainment. I found it inside the BETA MPQ :3

I made these Teals based on the retail version. They are called "JungleGreen" and "TrueTeal."
I got both of these from the color codes online.

These are the three new greens I have made: ForestGreen, SicklyGreen, and Moss.
"Moss" is essentially for those who feel that "Mint" is out of place for clan/tribe based units, especially Forest Trolls and Gnolls.

These are the new colors for Gray: Silver, StormCoudGray1, StormCludGray2, and StoneGray. I figured that for those with artistic eyes, every kind of color gets specified.

I have made the following for Light Blue: OceanBlue and GlacierBlue. I've also replicated the color "Snow" and invented "Bone" for Light Blue, for those who prefer Classic retail. The "slight" coloration is for those with an artist's eye who want to associate such colors with certain races.

These are the various versions of Red in which I feel should be included to substitute Red, Purple, and Pink. For non-Reforged versions, these are also here to substitute colors associated with Teams 11-24.
TC Maroon is simply a recreation of the retail Reforged version. The "Rose Reds" are based on the color codes I found online.

Hey, did this work for anyone in game? I'm trying to use custom team colors, but so far they only work in editor, in game the originals are used. It happens both on 1.31 and 1.36.

I suppose the only way to make this work is this: Custom Team Colors Tutorial, but it involves modifying every model...

Is this one of the colors that changed in Patch 1.28 - 1.30? Or do you simply prefer a slightly different color?

I'm curious because I have definitely had moments where I feel like some of the original 12 color were changed in some of those patches, then in some instances changed back "ish" on Reforged to become slightly more similar to their original counterparts.

Maybe nevermind, I left this comment then realized that you published a lot of these color overrides recently. So I'm guessing this is your own artwork and not any attempt to restore old/lost things.

I do not. I'm having a hard time installing reforged on my personal computer, so I'm left with just the classic.
If you want, look for someone who does know how to convert blp to DDS, like Footman16.
 
yellow has always been a problematic color. The only color that doesn't go well with black shadows in the alpha channels of the texture
Yellow, and to an extent pink, is indeed one of those sensitive colors. One really should find the colors most appropriate for something like Neon Yellow, or they will end up with something ugly.

Mixing Yellow and Black together, you get an ugly Axel Grease.

By the way, how do you rate these new variations for retail Yellow? Should I fix something? I plan to add more.
 
I think "MoonLightYellow" is very similar to the "wheat" color from the game. Maybe you should find another, more unusual shade of yellow?
Oh yeah you're right, it does look like Wheat.

Then again, so does Turquoise towards Teal, and in some instances Maroon towards Red; and those are colors in which Blizzard chose. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Well, in defense, some of these colors are "similar but different" from each other, especially the Grays I've uploaded. Those are there for people such as artists with keen eyes and want to associate certain colors to certain races/factions.

I'll see what I can do about this. Thank you for pointing this out; and yes, I do have plans for other yellows.
