Custom models not being lit by lighting

Check the model's Materials and see if any of them have the 'Unshaded' flag checked. That disables any and all lighting on the model for that particular material.
 
I think it may be because reforged models use a specular/light map texture in order to work with the new graphics? But I havnt got confirmation on that yet.

If you disable lighting on the imported model then it actually removes all shading too, so it still won't behave in the same way as a reforged model as its missing a light map.
