So, i was continuing to create my map, and i ran into yet another... interesting *sigh* situation.

I was using some of the custom models from Killst4r (the terran buildings to be exact), and when i place them down for some reason, they require a large distance between them (roughly the size of a castle)(maybe a little larger, i don't know the exact distance). Does anyone know of a way to reduce the distance required between these models? I was just curious, since though i can function around the distance stuff for my purposes, it might annoy a player trying to build a building like that in my future map if they have to make their bases super spread out (its about the same distance for EVERY building).

Sincerely,
SpiritPhoenix

PS: As always, if you need further information from me to help solve the problem, just ask.

When you enter the WE, press P. It will show all units/doodads pathing and how much ,,space" on map they use.
Then, pick your unit in object editor (F6) and find value:
Pathing - Pathing Map
Change it to value you would like to be the spacing. Those are presets.

Maybe you would like the change texture bellow model, then change
Art - Ground Texture

And, here is a little tip how to run your WE faster,
Open WE,
from the Window button in it, UNcheck ,,Brush List"

Brush List, definition
It is in the left bottom corner of WE. Whenever you do certain things, such as changing unit's name or icon, it loades war.mpq and war3ex.mpq over and over again, and as you probably know, each has about 400 mb... So, unchecking it will make your WE much faster.

Problem Solved

Thanks, that helped a lot. Now the buildings can actually look like a coherent base, instead of a spaced out mess.
