i had the same problem with a custom ability i made, it was not based on a trigger, simple edit in object editor (also a kind of combo), but it caused the game to crash, i didn't find a way to fix it so i removed the ability and everything was fine
well... actually... it is quite silly ... create an item with avatar ability on it... now... choose illidan and use his ultimate ability... while it is in effect... use avatar(avatar time must not be longer than morph time) after morph finishes and avatar item cooldown is finished try to drop the item... result... this beautiful windowed message saying that you have done some shit
at least with 1.21a patch (thats the one i have here :/)
unfortunately i tried to recreate this bugg outside my map... but couldnt... i guess that it has something to do with avatar + immortality + pause + metamorphosis so... i guess ill have to keep trying
this bugg (as i have recently discovered) exists in versions older than mine... i got this map from the guy who created it... and ive just discovered that in his versions it already existed :/
i solved this by replacing the trigger ... instead of removing the item i set the charges of the item... and if this unit uses this item... it wont be able to drop it... it isn't the best way to do it... but it works for now
EDIT: it is very weird... if i place the item in the editor and later i take it with the troublesome hero... no critical error happens... but... if i create the item normally (by buying recipe and executing the trigger)... if i use and later i try to drop it... the game crashes... but only with this hero and after using metamorphosis... strange isnt it?
