hi again, after visiting some websites i was told to create a spell on RoC you should extract the war.mpq file edit the spreadsheet file units\abilitydata.skl

well ive done that and placed it back into the war.mpq file and backed up the old file. But it hasn't worked

am i just making a mistake or it this method a load of rubbish?

This method is rubbish. Use the object editor to make simple adjustments and triggers for more powerful spells. However, in RoC you don't have many features of the editor. I was just wondering, does the RoC editor include the "Target Unit of Ability Being cast" unit constants, amongst Casting Unit, Triggering Unit and many others? If it does, the editor is good enough.

However, I still suggest getting TFT. It can't be so expensive to afford buying RoC but not TfT. However, if you can't, do your best with RoC.
