I'm working on a model that's simple but basically it would be a geromerge as far as i know. I just want to have a warden model plus the Avatar of Vengeance model put right on top. The trick is i want both to perform the same animations at the same time. Is this possible without using 3ds max or would i still need it?(i don't have it so that's why i'm asking)

I figure they have the same bones and animation so it shouldn't be too hard but i don't quite know how. Perhaps someone can help me out on this.

Yeah, its possible

I'm thinking without the need of 3DS Max as well. My guess would be to add the geosets of the Spirit of Vegence onto the Warden via the mighty powers of copy and paste of the existing geosets, then just swap their texture types to that of the SoV

The SoV is just the Warden with fancy effects anyway

The only thing is the Spirit of Vengeance has different anims. I was thinking of simply making a secondary model of the warden, except with the skins of the avatar. That way both have all their anims.

But what's the talk about switching the textures and copying geosets? I have yet to do this so i'm kind of confused right now. Do i just add everything else that was on the warden after or do i add certain things inc ertain spots, and do i have to change other things too? I'm still new to modelling perhaps you can offer me a bit more advice.

Just so we are perfectly clear i'd want it to look like there's an avatar of vengeance that's like a "spirit" guarding the warden but both move in unison.

[edit]

I tried using the vertex modify, one of oinker winkle's tools, and it get's the model put on, but there are multiple problems. The arms and legs and such all link the the base model so some parts look really weird when i get them to do any animations. Another thing is they both carry the same skin.

Also, since this doesn't seem to be working, could i accomplish this is G-max?
