Clockwerk troll , some ideas needed

Well hi there guys , I'm creating a Clockwer troll , or a golem inspired on a troll , Some like that , I'm using a golden-yellow palette , with some Green and Red and brown colors.
I'm not going to changue the colours , but i need some help on what to do on legs weapons , and a fresh changue to back.
Where here is preview W.I.P
Criticism and idea's are wellcome.

doesnt look clockwork at the moment. looks like a yellow tiger skin. Green magic orb shoulders? needs gears, cogs, sprockets, springs, wheels, pinions, pegs, joints, sockets, nails, nuts, bolts, screws, pistons, rods, swaybars, and machinery.

but all i see now are blurry black and yellow stripes with green shoulders :/. looks more like some sort of.... dragonball or anime evil character.

EDIT: agree with dondustin. look at the inner workings of wind-up stop watches or grandfather clocks
