It is because the tiles which contain a cliff vertex follow cliff logic so use the mesh of the cliff. The terrain type and surrounding tile blending still follows normal rules and is only hidden for cliff related tiles.
The grass you are using is for a different tileset compared with the cliffs. Hence why it does not blend well. You will need to either change the cliffs, or the grass so that they blend together.
Yeah that was the problem. I thought that the grass I was using was the cliff grass. It's because I don't know how to use a Tileset skin. The grass that pairs with the cliff is a skin but I have NO IDEA which grass this skin replaces.
Practically all tile skins can be replaced with each other's texture as they all follow the same wrap. There are only 2 tile wraps, simple which has only 2 variations and extended which has 18 variations.
