What is Classic Heroes Arena?

It's a map where you choose the heroes from Melee Warcraft 3 Maps and
fight to achieve different goals, depending on the type of areana chosen,
with your team.

What are the Arena Types?

Capture the Flag: This one is a must have classic.
Capture Points: 4 Points to capture and difficult to hold.
Kill the King: Make your way through the enemy defenses and
harass them until their king is dead. Just make sure yours is still alive.
Small Arena: This one is mostly for testing 2 characters one
against the other. It is the one with some obstacles and no place to flee,
you fight till you die, you can't win and you can't lose on this mode. Purely
testing.

The reasons behind this map

Some must say, why would I want to play this over an already good
arena-ish map like DotA? Here's the answer. I'm not a fan of DotA, I pretty
much don't like it at all. I don't want to play a game and have to remember
every single thing I have to do in order to build the good character. This is
why I used the classic heroes, everybody that played Melee warcraft 3
knows the heroes. They mostly don't even have to check the skills in order
to know how to play them.
Using these heroes can also give some oppotunities to practice some heroes
for melee maps.
When playing this map, you won't feel like playing a memory game mixed out
with a puzzled character.

I created this map by thinking Guild Wars' Guild versus Guild. Because to me,
it is the best PvP that ever existed. Strategy, effective builds, skills needing
gameplay. This map is an altered GvG. I took one of the GW's arena and
remade it into warcraft 3 with some changes.

Warcraft 3 Vs Guild Wars

The differences are of course, the heroes. They're not the 10 classes and
they don't have the same skills. Though, there is one thing I tried to keep
and it's the Multi-Classing. The first thing you do is choose among the shops
the secondary skills you want. I won't describe it here as a quick step in the
game will explain it all.

The shrines, at first I didn't know how to do the GW's morale boost at every
2 minutes of holding the north shrine. So at first I used the flag to capture
the 5 shrines around the map so if I couldn't make that morale, I would at
least have a place for the flag.
But then, my triggerer skills increased so I was able to do that morale, and
still keep the shrines. I thought that having the shrines add some thrill in the
game and make it even more unique so I kept them.

The archers are now towers, if an hero of your team dies, all your towers
suffer 100 damage [they have 1500 health] and if you kill an enemy hero,
they are healed for 100. You have 6 total towers, 2 defending your king.

The resurrection shrine, [this applies to all the game mode except for 1v1].
it is simple as all dead heroes resurrects every 30 seconds. So at 0:30, 1:00,
1:30 and so on.

The body guard in GW is the one you need to kill before attacking the Lord
because he heals it a lot. In Classic Arena, the body guard is a paladin
equiped with a good survival gear. The difference here is that he actually
resurrect at the same rate as the heroes. Getting rid of it will give you some
time to attack the lord, but he will come back.

The Altered Spells

In order to render some character useful, I had to pimp some skills. For
exemple, Transmute would be a useless skill no matter what in an arena. So I
had to make it stronger only by reducing the cooldown and also by making it
insta-kill a non-heroes unit. I have a complete description of the changed
skills into the Quest tab in game. You can easily check them out once you
wait for the game to begin.

Terraining

The terrain was done without the Blizzard's cliff, I raised the ground to make
it look like the original arena. Because the snow arena in GW is obstacle-less
I didn't put a lot of doodad to fill the blank spaces, I did the best I can
without altering the game experience.

Here's the original arena

Triggering

This being my first real map to be completed, I haven't used any Jass only
because I don't know how to use it.

My personal feeling

The reasons I post this here. I feel like it is completed and fully playable, but
when I host, no one joins because it is not known enough. This community
seems to be the only chance for my map to be at least played by some ppl
and if I can be among them, I'll be the happiest dude on earth.

These are the pros of this map:
-GW's Flag System for Kill the King.
-This game is full of possibility with heroes and builds.
-It encourages team play rather than solo play.
-You don't have to remember the skills of over hundreds of heroes or over
hundreds of items.
-Even a new player to the game can perfrom pretty well.
-There is a lot of replayability.
-There is no Uber Hero that cannot be dealt with.
-It loads fast
-Quick to download

The cons:
-If a player leaves, it hurts a team.
-Needs some players to play [1v1 in a big map is pretty much useless]
-There is no rematch system.
-Not a lot of custom stuff like models or icons.

I think I'm done with the introduction.
Thanks to whoever will try my map and comment it.
