changing attack type is possible?

ive seen an upgrade that allows changing defence type.
is there a way to change attack type of a unit (hero)?

you can only change the attack type and defense type of a unit only once, and only via upgrades.
And I am sure i'm right. There's just no doubt.
In fact, that's the reason i stopped making warcraft maps, because of this shitty thing.

There's a upgrade you can do, one of the effects is called Change Attack type or something like that. OR another effect that says Enable Attack so you just need to create a 2nd attack for the unit get the upgrade then he will use both.

i want to make it that when a hero uses a weapon his attack type changes. i heard some ORPG did it.

so having only 2 attack types is very limeting.

Use root ability can change attack and defense type.

Morph abilities can accomplish this too.
