Certain maps wont show up in the in-game selection

Sometimes when I create a map, place it in the correct directory (any folder under Maps) and try to open it up in Single Player, I might not be able to find it in the folder I put it in. Yet, sometimes when I move it to a different folder it will show up. Why the hell is that?

On a sidenote, I downloaded a map from the Hive that was only about 770KB (whereas the maximum on Bnet is supposedly 5MB) and tried to create a game on Bnet with the map (it was Escape Builder 1.9 PRO) but I couldn't find it listed under the folder I put it in, nor could I find it at all.


I obviously fail to see how Warcraft III does maps v_v

I got a problem like that once, it happened when the map name was to long. Don't know if its your problem thou, but try to rename the map to something shorter.

(Rename the .w3x, the map file)

Change the map name to Escape Builder.w3x and it should work.

Actually max file size is 8mb on Bnet.

lol wasn't on at wc3 for awhile,its 8mb now??

Yeah,the 1.24 patch changed max map file size to 8mb

I also get the same problem sometimes and shortening the map name does the job... you might also want to shorten the folder name...
