In 2190 AD, during an ordinary routine mission, the FFM UV research ship under the command of the famous explorer Turan Choks discovered a habitable planet. The young planet was given the code name - FMM UV-32. However, due to the unstable surface and the oversized population of alien animals, strongly reminiscent of the extinct inhabitants of planet Earth, colonization was impossible... However, thanks to a very ambitious man named Elias Henrikson, a corporation specializing in hunting tours was founded - DinoHunt Corp., giving people the opportunity to hunt long-extinct animals of the planet Earth for the first time in 65 million years. And you are one of their customers.

GAMEPLAY

Carnivores World is a single player RPG, with a small part of hunting simulator, map, where you take a roll of the hunter, who travels in different sectors of planet and hunts different types of animals, like dinosaurs and prehistoric mammals. You gaining levels, learn skills, earn currency, buy equipment and even get yourself a pet to aid you in your dangerous journey.

GAMEPLAY

Now diving into the game mechanics. Let's start with the classification of all animals. There are 60+ creatures for you to hunt, and they all fall into the following categories:
  • No name tag - ambient creatures, they give you no benefit of hunting.
  • Common - those are easy creatures to hunt down.
  • Advanced - those creatures are more challenging, and may actually harm.
  • Challenging - don't try to hunt those down without preparation.
  • Apex - most dangerous creatures of sectors.
  • Rare - rare creatures, which grants you a big reward (Elite Points) for hunting down.
  • Special - unique story mod creatures.
Know your prey, and hunt whose, who gives you more benefit.

Of course, to hunt down those exotic beasts, you need a right tools for it. And you have them - Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Shotguns and many others. They all fall into five following categories:
  • Novice - basic weapons for beginning.
  • Advanced - powerful weapons for hunting on bigger game.
  • Pro - best weapons for best hunters.
  • Elite - unique weapons for elite hunters. Sells for Elite Points.
  • Code Red weapon - special weapons for Story Mod only.
Each weapon costs currency, as long as bullets for it, so be careful.

Making money is a crucial aspect of the game. You are in a rather unpleasant cycle of game life, to earn you have to kill, so that there is something to kill and your progress will not stop. But keep in mind … death during the hunt leads to the loss of all the points you earned, and therefore the wasted ammunition. Conclusion: ruining your progress is incredibly simple.

This seem like a pretty cool idea. Looking forward to more details about the story. Is it going to be more linear or more open?

Thanks. To be honest, never thought about no linear story. There will be couple fractions and they all will have separate questlines, but everything will lead for one big conclusion for everyone.

This looks interesting, especially the "Story Mod", since a story often makes it easier to get into a game and narrows the focus for players, while any open ended setting (free hunt?) often has less direction for players to get acquainted with the game due to everything being right there.

I agree with tulee and the fact that the story plays out differently for each faction is a good idea. It offers good replayability if there are different stories to discover.

Well. To look on events from different sides might be interesting. Gonna try to do this.

And here is first version. If you have reforged, turn on classic mod.

Long time no see. For a long time, I was busy with other things, and only occasionally had the opportunity to work on a project. Even if the final version is still a long time away, you can already evaluate all the updates after the old version. Including a completely redesigned world, several new animals, and a small rebalance.
