Can't play anything on War3

Hello hivers, i am in need of help. I can't seem to play anything on my warcraft 3. All of the custom maps from Hive are unavailable to play. Could someone help me?

What's your wc3 version number?
It's displayed in a corner of the main menu when you start up.

I presume it's your version problem, else it's damaged MPQ, but I'm pretty sure it's version problem, did you use Version 1.26a?

Is there an error message appearing when playing those maps that gives a fatal error?

I've experience a similar problem like this and it might be a problem in the Wc3 registry or in th War3 itself.

@Daffa the Mage: Yeah it's 1.26a.

@Hell Master: No it doesn't give a fatal error. It simply brings the menu up, then it goes back down. Also, i can't seem to set the players (adding AI or closing the slots). In conclusion, it just didn't start.

map got problem or u should need to patch it with 1.26a or maybee u deleted some mpq's or modded u warcraft??

It is already patched with 1.26a. Since then, i can't play anything. What are mpqs?

I ahve searched throughout and found a similar prpblem to yours:

It has been said by a user in Battle.Net Forums:

Generally if Warcraft III boots you back the map choosing menu it means the maps script has errors that were not caught by the map editor. (Or the map is corrupt in some other way.)

Due to scripting changes made in v1.23b many Warcraft maps no longer, and there is no way to get them to work unless the authors update them, or they are unprotected and you have the knowledge to fix them yourself. Thats why the newer version of Kodo Tag works.

Unfortunately Warcraft does not give a very clear error message, if it gives one at all.

So, there is no hope? But it didn't explain why i couldn't play the Invasion In Duskwood (IDD) You can find it in the maps section.

As what my last post, maybe your map script is broken or something that forbids you to play maps and IID is a map too.

I don't have an installer, sadly. My CD installer was lost years ago and i place my War3 files in a pendrive when it was formatted last year. There said, i can't re-install. Nobody sells War3 CDs here anymore.

Well, too bad but your wc3 will stay like that forever, not to be mean or something but I do think you've just lost your final hope.

It's okay i guess. I'll just have to keep searching for a Warcraft 3 installer.

The only things you'll see are pirated and those are not 100% sure if they will work and to add also demos.

just download wc3 from The Pirate Bay.se, install it and you're good to go...
