can anyone suggest some good bands? like...

im looking get some new music, but im looking for either something indie or maybe a bit rock/punk.

atm anything similar to bloc party, kooks, killers, ect would be great, maybe something from america. but i would also like to get some stuff like death from above 1979. im getting a cd by lightning bolt which i have heard is very good, anything else u can suggest? im also looking to dish out some +rep!

(note, plz no korn, slipknot, the who, evernesance or whatever, i dont like that stuff leave musical opinoins for the "music you like" thread, this is just some advice for me!)

i'd say linkin park would would be a nice choice if you're into rock and stuff like that,but i reccomend sticking to there old stuff if ur interested, such as hybrid theory and meteora.

edit:

got listening to a band called something corporate, they are proper soft american pop rock but they are quite cool. i managed to get there from radical face, which btw, is a cool band name.
