I think so too. But what can i do?
Removing the crosses and adding an emblem is hard because I don't know where to highlight and shade.
Thorns on the sides is harder.
Besides this is and edit of an icon simpler. Well, yeah I'm not professional.

Yeah it's kinda blurry, may I ask what resultion you drown it at ? Since that might be the reason of the blurryness. It might also be, becausr you put too much detail in it when it was at full scale.

As for the representing item, the X on it doesn't seem to be symetrical. The color choice seems monotone, and a ltile dull. Also we can't see the whole shield, which i think is a shame. It's missing some highlights aswell but i wouldn't worry about that too much. Also the cross and the X on thie shield both seem a litle unevan, a bit wavy. Not a bad icon thogugh :D
