I see you improved your skills in making a glow.
The glow is good.
But somehow the shape and the form of the shield doesn't look good or realistic.
In my opinion it looks more like a stone with some wood on it.

Glow is created with tool in GIMP xD Hmm so i see it isnt improved so much And does wood look like wood?

Shading is OK but it looks wrong because of shape! Now i see i have totally wrong perspective! Is there some way to move some parts of steel nearer wood?

Maybe use the smudge tool? I don't know. I'm a beginner, too.

The shading of the wood is different to the shading of the metal, making the wood look slightly rotated in relation to the rim. The rim is too bright and strangely shaded. Its difficult to say where the edge is. Also the lower edges are shaped wrong, messind the perspective up. They should be paralell to the upper edges. And for some strange reason, it looks more like a small box than a shield. maybe because the rim is very thick.

well, the shape is a little uneven, the wood looks good, maybye add some bolts, just for the details, and the Lighting is coming from four directions, unless you have multiple light sources, which i guess you don't have since the only lightingsource in the warcraft III would be the sun(or a torch, campfire E.T.C) therefore the light should only be coming from one direction.

Of course it does From left top corner of icon in some height. Nearer part is fully shined and corners of items are shined(but hard to find corner here xD)

Updated!!! I think you all see i just cutted shape off. If its looking bad ill do new shading and highlights like Army said.

I know what the white part is, you NEED to define it more instead of a random white line going around the wooden part, representing nothing.

I didnt say what it is. I asked if it is that xD You didnt see that "?" behind it?
OK ill try to fix it but i won't be here for 3weeks

change the size and make sure your metal thing doesnt look like aluminium foil and that your wood isnt chocolate brown

the shield just isn't spectacular, like if you drew a picture of a circle solid color and hung it up in a museum, just not that great.

It looks like a place mat for a door, change the shape so it actually looks like a shield of some-kind.

Make it from a different angle, it would look much better and will look at least like a real shield lol
