I agree. Right now it needs a lot of different color shades, shading and highlights to make it less bland.

Oh no!
Don't ruin everything, now u've drawn flames everywhere, looks like a zebra, lol.
U have to improve the effect(which is kinda random) and shading in the old version.
Also, try to work with more accuracy.

You could upload those flames as a separate resource (improved and more swirly of course). Just saying, because they look nice but don't fit with the icon.
