Pyramidhe@d: There is an icon like this already in the warcraft game. For what purpose should the mods accept this icon when it is not on par in terms of quality with the warcraft icons. Show me something great, something special, something worthy to be approved

Intense colouring, which does neither go with "death" nor "decay". Imo, the old one was def. better.

The background and the roses just melt and blend together. Separate them.

The simple way to apply this would have been to alter the opacity of the background or to slightly adjust colours.

I must say that i liked more the old one.
In the new icon - the colors are too vivid, remembering the joy of May, not the death and wilting.
(You can rename it, for example...)

The bg is toxic green, while roses are really red, you all definitely right, this was made to make a big contrast between them and this is like, great "flourishing" before the decay, this "flourishing" is really tricking, remember the fairy tale's apple for Snow White? this is the same principle

I don't really rate/care what you call it, its an interesting icon. Thats all. People here care too much about what something is called.

Looks good, but you could have made the roses look dead or a bit black so it portrays what the title of the icon "Death and Decay." Impressive icon though. I'd rate it 4/5

Too vivid for what? Its an icon, it doesn't matter what the artist calls it in this case, all that matters is what you use it for.

(You can rename it, for example...)

Exactly! The icon should symbolize the destination for which it was designed.
And what is this? Death and decay!
Does the icon, as seen now, symbolizes death and decay??
The colors that i see - not leads me to death (it`s an icon, not a story and first impressions count).
Because i like the icon as it is (but doesn't match to destination), i wanted to suggest that - can use it for another destination (changing his name).
It's just my opinion and refers to the icon (in whole).
Don't bother me at all, either your own or others' opinions about any kind of work. On the contrary, it's nice to see that people are really interested and express their honest opinion about someone's work, helping him (even as little) to improve his art.
But - opinions on the others opinions - don't think that can help the artist in any way.
