gaias is hosting wormwars atm
and it was very laggy at Tuesday

(just use this thread to post bot problems)

I had already posted a thread about the bot issues. we host our Gaias bot through BGN an actual provider. We spend $15 a month on it in order to keep it running for the Gaias community. The problem however is we owe next months 'rent' for the bot but we don't have it. We are broke. Until we pay them for next months rent we can not update the bot to 1.1k. :[ I will set the bot back to 1.1j though in the time being. Any lag caused from the bot itself is on BGN not us.

EDIT: This is what I said in the other post I posted:
Just a heads up to those wondering the Gaias bot went down today. As some are aware we pay monthly for our host bot ($15 American per month) to run the bot, and our months just ran out. Until we can gather forth some money we are unable to pay for next months. So it may be several days before the bot is back up online and running. Sorry for any inconveniences that may cause.

As of now the bot IS still online, but within a few days it might be shut off permanently until we pay. If that happens there won't even be a bot :[

Wow, I didn't know you guys were actually paying for this bot. Thought you had some connections to BGN to make them run a bot for you.
That's awesome stuff guys! :)
I never knew that people would actually invest money just to play a free custom map for WC3.

Well ... it might help if MakeMeHost could be updated to the newest version ... but MMH usually takes weeks until they release a new map. :/

I have no problem paying for a bot to host the game on a monthly basis (when I have the extra money for it) because the map is that good and it deserves people who play it on the regular basis. You and everyone on your team deserve to have your map played on warcraft3 as much as possible so all of your hard work does not go to waste :] It doesn't even feel like a custom map for WC3 for me but rather an entire mod instead. And the community is so small but connected it makes it a very good atmosphere and experience :]

BGN bot's lag as hell lately, a lot of desyncs ect.

I've heard it was reset and this should be ok in next days.

Chuck a link in here or somewhere to try any get some of the community to help out. I'll check my funds but I think I'm broke for a couple of weeks.

Well SAMCRO is usually in charge of all the donations. He's been telling me to have people donate any money for the bot to his paypal account [email protected] I've told him to view this thread and post an actual link or something so we will see if he does.

It also has some serious delay issues and is kicking people at random. Unless some donations go through I assume it will go down for a long time. Anyone willing to help refer to s0ulseekers post.

got 1.1k in mmh map lists

If nescescary, consider running a private bot from your PC until this problem is resolved. It might not have the capacity to run several sessions at once or even the best latency but it should atleast be better than nothing.

15$ a month sounds prety steep for a bot. I have met people running a bot with multiple sessions as a background process. Let us not forget that the bot might not be fully loaded all the time.

Agree, but mmh bot is a complete different thing. For playing on mmh you usually need to have a team, just waiting for people to join can take its time.
If you have a bot that is only hosting one particular map, it is more likely that players have this bot in their /f l and join its games regularly.

No doubt, bots destroyed Wc3 custom games. But as long as there are bots, you cannot host public without bot (noone will ever join your game) which results in people using more and more bots. Its a circle that wont just end without a reason (like blizzard killing all bots etc. ~).

Add: Sios.Bot

I keep trying to get users to join my bot and people refuse to - Only wanting to go to Gaias.

Join: Sios.Bot -- Hosted 24/7, no known disconnection issues and hosted on US-East (Ofc, that's just the location of bot - but the game is hosted globally on all realms.)

Add: Sios

For any inquiries regarding the bot.

// And yes -I host 1.1k
