We have chess, risk, tic tac toe etc... More? :D

During this month I have plenty of time to work on this: please cast your vote soon

And yeah there's few of them on the poll, I'm not interested in that many..

Well after giving a good glance at it, seems very complicated lol.. Maybe just stick to the pre-existing Mafia we have on WC3 and SC2.

Battleship is good in a sense that it is 2 players per session, each session lasting ~30 minutes. For more than 2 sessionees, it could be auto-arranged single elimination / double elimination / round robin (players decide by vote) tournament. For 2N+1 sessionee - situations one would go against A.I. Each player would be awarded credits in the formula of (matches won + hours (floored) played).

Risk I've never played so the Risk maps WC3 has now are better than what I would come up with.

And warms my heart to see that someone voted for Carcassonne ^^

Well, last year I came up with this:

Which is very immature approach. I should only use 1x1 or if the quality is not enough, 2x2, tiles per piece. Then the official artwork would be imported over. In such project I would need help from a texture artist as I'm completely hopeless in this regard.

From the poll, it is definitely carcassone for me! Would be actually matching amazingly to the wc3 theme! also it would be really nice to design it or wc3, without having to suffer from low graphics and all that, so yeah carcassone all the way :D

@jondrean, you mention something among the lines like "kingdoms" right? Sounds interesting, perhaps you could go with the kingdoms theme
If you're referring to Carcassonne's box art you see in the picture, then yea it's about owning castles and land, basically a kingdom. ^^

I do whichever ends up highest in the poll after it concludes (3.5 days).

nothing is as infuriating losing to bad rng in video games.
..so, animated dice roll? :D Feels authentic!

Oh, so the Kingdom RP is Carcassonne then... first time I've heard about this honestly. But wait... a Kingdom? One Kingdom only?! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

But still it's fun to build a kingdom, so yeah, go for Carcassonne!

Aaah.. nope, two separate projects ^^

This project starts on Dec 12th, I will transform a board game from your childhood (implying it's on that list) into WC3! So for example if you wanted to play Battleship vs your friends online, vote for it on the poll. :)

Carcassonne is the winner.

I will post update post to this thread with a link to Map Development thread when I have first playable version of it available.

As of now I'm looking for good Google user: [Googling] Carcassonne Tile Art
+rep and credits are assured.

Carcassonne is the winner.
Noooo!

:D Actually I'm wishing to see a monopoly map but with war & battle theme. So each block is a base spot, with different strategical efficiency. Higher efficiency costs more troops to conquer (yes, money => troops). Each time you enter someone else's property (base) you have to engage into a battle which costs you some troops. And what's unique is the base owner can also lose troops, but his base will give his troops in that base some status boosts. To upgrade a property means to add more troops into that base/property.

That's all I have for now, I never managed to finish the concept.

^When/if I finish Carcassonne, I will most likely do another poll, that time with bigger selection of board games.

But fundamental gameplay change, eh.. I wouldn't be fulfilling what the voter voted for at that point, would I?

I was thinking of just creating Monopoly, without polls. But I don't have time to create maps which no one would play.
