I am going to be creating a series of maps for my project, Project Homelands in which I will be making all of the Regions in the World of Warcraft based off of my own Imagination, World of Warcraft Screenshots, and Descriptions from WoWiki. So you may have guessed I will be needing a LARGE amount of resources, I already have many different models and I am currently learning how to skin also but, I seem to have huge difficulty getting terrains to look right ingame even though I am just doing recolors they seem too bright or too light, I have tried changing the opacity and everything to try to get the tile to look right so I have come to the conclusion that I may need to either request these tilesets or try to get some clue as to what I am doing wrong, So for those who think they may be able to do the tiles here is what I need, I need two different tilesets both using the Dalaran brick tile, square tile, round tile, white marble, and black marble. I need one to look blood elf themed like reds, golds, and blacks. The only specifics I have for this one is I would like the round tile's outline ( the part that looks like metal) to be a darkish gold. And for the second I need it to be high elf themed having blues, whites, light golds, and ivory like colors, again the specifics I have for this one is for the round tiles to have gold trimming. The rest however, can just be recolors that don't look like mine
I am very close to being able to start on this project I have been pretty much hoarding models, skins, etc. All I need is a few more things and I can start if you have any questions just post here or pm, me I will not be able to respond today/tonight because I will be off to prom and after prom
So thanks to anyone who helps me in advance and I will give rep when I get back. Also if you are interested in helping with the project in any way pm me I need terrainers, modelers, triggers, and anybody who plays Wow for screenshots.
Thanks again, Klayton
Edit: Yay! I got it to work right thanks Trillium for referring me to the Utm I wouldn't have had the idea to combine textures for the tile if not for you thanks so much!
