My condolences on getting scammed, these buildings are superb and its a shame that your work has gone unpaid.

While commissioning the Silvermoon Buildings I ended up paying in splits(which I am thankful that you have allowed me to do) beforehand. I suggest in the future that you take payment first and then you begin working. If its in the case of splits then work on only the number of models paid beforehand and send the rest once they have paid again.

I side with everyone in the comment section of this post, I think that you should reveal the scammer so that they get punished accordingly.

I mean the scammer got what he wanted, but at least some "justice" could be done by banning the person behind it. He will do it again and again, that's for sure.
I'm just mad because a lot of hard work was put into making the models...

I stand by this 100%, it's a shame that bakr didn't get paid for the hard work he did. I am all for serving justice via a ban.

thanks everyone for your concern and help. I will still provide fixes and updates for this pack in the coming future. I still want to improve the dragon lair and tower models to make the idea behind them work in game much better. I will also replace the icons for the pit-cavern-lair and treasure hoard in the next update.

regarding the person who made this commission i am currently in talks with johnwar and there is a possibility that this person is also the one who commissioned him before and did not pay for the 2nd project. but needs further confirmation.

Geez man. My condolences on getting scammed. You've done a great job with these buildings, and you should never have gone unpaid. I'm with Manastorm; I think it would be highly appropriate to take future commissions with prepayment only. Plenty of artists to that in other circles.

These scammers are really disgusting, I think a commission can be charged for each model completed. When something unexpected happens, at least there won't no commission at all. The number of models can be increased after enough credit is accumulated.

So right now I am thinking of just trying to manage the issue on the background to avoid anymore stress to myself and the community and instead focus on making models.

there will be derivatives for this pack. the struggle with the texturing is the lack of skins that resembles burnt lands that are not from outland. and also texture that will not pixelate and looks too stretched. though i have chosen the current texture to give the pack a bit of contrast and break the constant black color shades.

as i said in the notes. i was provided by rock texture by another hive member though i am still trying to figure out the right application for it.

Many of people here already made their names and are known by community and made tons of assets and helped others for years, joined projects etc... So anyone with 2 grams of brain will not even think to fool someone like this, yet to do this for real. So banning here is completely useful thing because he will be forced to create a new account, but therefore nobody will know him and trust him in turn! He must spend years to prove himself, and man of that type is not capable of that, thus when people start rejecting his offer he will eventually give up. Dont be discouraged to cooperate just like before, but with trusted people. When dealing with new and nontrusted, then take different approach.
Last night we had some party here at my place and I was talking about this case of scam as it hit me honestly, I felt bad little that this happened.

Be sure, bakr does his job 5 times better than faulty corporations (its now blizzard + microsoft). I just had dinner with my fiance and we spoke about this faulty patch 2.0 and those faked AI official screenshots Blizzard did. And I just told her its much better to give hard earned money to that man (I showed her those dragon buildings bakr made) rather to give money to corporations and their criminals.

i really thought that that screenshots are the new sd+ models until I watched the reviews about it. well if blizzard will actually use their resources and manpower correctly they are actually capable of delivering such quality.

when i tried to look into reforged before if i am not mistaken it requires logging in to battlenet right? or you must log in to an online account to access the game? Is it still the case?

i didnt buy reforged before for some reasons. Primarily, i feel like its a hassle not being able to play it offline and It seems like I am not actually buying the game but paying for access. And in the near future if somehow blizzard decided to stop hosting, supporting or updating the game then removed it from their platform then its just a waste of time and money.

like i dont own the game I just paid them to allow me to play it. something like that.

I have no time for my ones lately, but when see your work it forces me to put something in map just to see it ingame. But I guess you wont guess correctly which building pack of yours is my favorite. I like all your packs very much, but still one is my favorite. Try to guess.

Ah sorry, I cant answer that as I do not remember. I bought it 4 years ago, pre-purchased it (as a gift from my fiance). After that flop and disaster release, I uninstalled it and never ever used it so I cannot remember how they set that up really. That answer will have to give you one of guys still using Reforged.
