Bit of trouble with some technology

The other day i bought a new mac computer, and it works and all, but I'm not all that used to it, i use windows, and have all my life. now i was copying files over using my flashdrive, and when i pulled it out when it was copying stuff, all of my files became currupt, i tried deleting all of my stuff and just starting over, but two of them wont go away and wont open, and one of them takes up a crap load of space. and when i put stuff on it from one computer my other one wont notice that it is there. How can i fix this?
 
Flash the RAM (you should be able to do this by right clicking the drive). In the future, remember to eject your flash drive (on a mac, you can right click -> eject, click "eject" right of the drive name in Finder, or just drag the drive over the trash bin (which becomes an eject symbol) before you pull it out - this has nothing to do with the OS.
