Best Anime Series?

What is your favourite Anime, why and what rating do you give it?

Try your best to create some order when posting, but then again total chaos is good too

I'm counting on you to bust my boredom... or surely doom will rein as I focus my full attention on my 'work'

Anime to watch?

I checked out that link, and the only anime that seemed to be good of the lot... was 'One Punch man'

I watched a few episodes online and it is strangely depressing. Lol. I don't think I've ever watched an anime that makes me feel even worse than when I didn't have anything to watch

Still One Punch Man, brings up a very good point. In most anime the main character becomes tooooo over powered and then what is the point of watching the show?

Like take the Naruto series. Throughout the whole show Naruto only loses a fight once, yet they try and leave the impression that he is somehow the under dog? Fight after consecutive fight, I begin to wonder, how is he the underdog again? In the only fight he does lose in he has his spine broken and a fist sized hole punched through his chest, but that doesn't stop him, eventually he is knocked unconscious.

Honestly they should remove the whole, "I can pull out your spine through your ass but you will still live because of you special regeneration powers." that to me just ruins perfectly good entertainment, and it is a little unimaginative to have an immortal main character.

Shingeki No Kyojin

Why?
All the characters have very strong personalities and there are none that I don't like. The openings of the three seasons, in my opinion, are epic. The animation has a level that I have not seen in any other anime, it's incredible. The color palette they use is perfect. Regarding the story I find it very interesting and it has me hooked (I have not read the manga because I do not want spoilers). It has a lot of blood, I love that

9.5/10 (I would prefer the chapters to be longer )

Why?

I .... I struggle to see the context of the story line...

From what I gather, if you get really pissed you turn into a giant monster

I'm beginning to suspect that anime is garbage 0_0

Which means my motivation for living on this world.... is declining rapidly

One Punch man, is a pretty cool anime because it basically makes fun of every anime in existence

I'm going to try Mob Psycho 100, just to see what the author does when his not insulting his career path

Mob Psycho has a very interesting structure and moral of the story ending. Basically at the end of the show they said that having special powers don't make you special, if when you are with out them you become nothing but a loser. Which is a very good point considering a lot of these Anime have main characters that have nothing remotely going for them other than the fact that they were gifted with these incredible 'no work required' powers.

Take Naruto for example. Naruto without his demon, and lets say without his chakra, is nothing. He has no redeeming skills, he can't even throw a kunai accurately despite the fact that he has been a ninja his whole life. His not smart, his not physically fit, he doesn't know much about anything so you can't even say he has life experience. Lets face it, without his powers he is a loser that would die the first ten seconds of a fight and as such should we really admire him for what was given to him from the start?

Naruto is a Hero without merit
