Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this a model that came out in a blizz forum about a week after art tools was released. I think it was a old version where it was just a floating eye with tenticals that shot out green lazer beams. Anyway its cool, 5/5 for originality and good skin.

Reminds me of the boss in the 1st part of baulder's gate dark alliance

That's because Black Isle made all the BG games (BG2 SoA and ToB where the best, Irenicus is unforgettable) and BG uses Dungeons and Dragons RPG system. The Beholder is a registered trademark and copyrighted under DND and TSR (or wizards of the crap for you newbs). Yeah, so the first boss was a beholder, and it is DND's best and most feared creatures, besides the lich and ofcourse, red and gold dragons.

No way it's copyright.
There is a game called 'Eye of the Beholder', that whole name maybe, but the creature never is.

yea, the beholder monster is from D&D, but the term "the eye of the beholder" means the view of a perfect being.

The Orcish race isn't copyrighted by anyone, though they don't appear in any mythological material I've seen so far.

Trademarks and specific Characters can be copyrighted as well as original creations.

And yes, the Beholder model was already posted here... long long ago. Who removed it?

Not nearly as good as the one Cookie made, which I have. I would upload it, but I was threatened with a ban if I put any of his stuff up.

Well either ask him if you can upload it or some that it is not your model its his

cryptfiend, go shove it. If you had been around in this community for a bit longer and been around the forums on wc3c a year ago or so you would have known that i made this model long time ago, but was never able to get it ingame because teh art tools didn't exist. It is old yes, but it is mine. And yes I did post it on the blizz forums. Had you paid a bit more attention you would have noticed that the poster was me. Now please go and THINK before you say stuff like that, if you have seen the other stuff I have made and submitted here you should have no problem accepting that i created this as well. There was no c'n'p involved other than the concept itself.

I like this model. I ever wanted to dl this but the link of the previous submit was broken. Now i have it. Anyway i need something for a CacoDemon in my doom mod, but perhaps the only reason why the other beholder model fits it better is because it attacks by biting, and it's better for lava ball throwing.
Tho i'll use that other model i need to tell u it's WAY better than that.

uhh a q. Can u upload that Wood Elven transport ship? It looks awesome.

The beholder or "The sphere of many eyes" or the "Eye Tyrant" is a formiddable opponent of extreme power. It's central eye produces an antimagic effect so that no spell can hit it if looks upon the caster. This model is a nice creation of a Beholder. Im going to use this :D. Thanks for making this model  .
