Single Player is not as straightforward as it used to be. At least it doesn't seem that way or I missed something. You have to double-click maps to actually play single player custom games and I'm not sure if it even saves things, at least it doesn't seem to save files from games started in that fashion on any of the three guest accounts.

It cannot be played offline except for loading maps on the editor and using test map. You cal always host a private lobby for single player online.

(there is some offline content but i forget how mch)

What Arhowk said is that you can host a private game and play with none but yourself. However, maps are no longer stored in a folder as they used to be. At least I never found anything of the sorts. The maps seem to be playable on Battle.Net alone, and there's no way to access them through the guest accounts.
If you have not yet explored SC2's panels and stuff this might sound too theoretical.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong btw.

P.S. — To answer your question, you can use Test Map to play it, but if you start SC2 and then use Play as Guest, I don't think you're able to find your map in any Maps folder, as you can only play either the campaign or melee there.

maps downloaded from bnet can be seen and played in Gust Account as well, they appear in the list of maps when entering as a guest but you cannot see the map file itself, if you want to have the map as a file you need to open the map in bnet through the editor and then Save As .. but not all downloaded maps can be even seen in the list when trying to open from the editor
