Well I noticed that every AoS out there has 2 things wrong with them: They lack decent balance for the most part and the second thing is they all have the same terrain. The most unique AoS terrain out there is NvB and other than a few minor changes the format has always been 3 lanes and the game has never really evolved past items.

The map that I just spent the last day making the terrain for is based off of Naruto Shippuuden. What will separate this from all those god awful Naruto maps out there? A unique 3rd person camera system and a new AoS format where each team has multiple spawning structures and no main structure. When a enemy spawn point is killed it simply transfers over to the other team which allows even the most hopeless circumstances to not be hopeless.

As of right now the terrain is 97% done. I just need to add one eye candy building and the spawning structures and hero taverns.

The planning for the heroes is 100% complete which means the heroes themselves provided I get some help from someone who is good with jass (since I'm new to jass) will take no time to complete.
Items are completely untouched.

Anyhow the screenshot I'd like to share is an overhead of the terrain:

(Kakashi is Anbu Kakashi since everyone uses normal Kakashi)

I'll post many more screen shots once my back stops hurting (car crash..running out of patience today)

Please I know 3/4ths of you hate Naruto. This doesn't mean you have to come in here and be a douche about it. If you don't like the idea and have nothing to add simply don't post. Thanks.

On the other hand I'm open to constructive criticism. If you think I have room for improvement tell me where and if I feel that's an area I need to improve on I definitely will.

Thanks in advance.

Nice map I like it very much but at least give me some credits xD for the doodad models
Which? I'm pretty sure you didn't make any of them. As for the map, your terrain is flat and lacks basic details like flowers, shrubs, logs, rocks, etc, and there is little to no tile variation. And the scale of some of the buildings looks off, that's really all there is to say.

Hmm... well I don't like naruto maps much, but this looks like it might be ok.

Just some comments on the terrain, you need to make your tile variation less square, use more kinds of tiles like rock and rough dirt and all that, put big boulders like freaking everywhere in the forest and mountains, and use shrubs and flowers and fallen logs and all that.

Also, it's a little flat now so try raising and lowering it all just a little bit.

Ah, one more thing, try using the Ashenvale tileset with the village rocks instead of ashenvale rocks and the village stone path (NOT cobble). It might look a bit nicer.

First of all RedFlash made the hokage heads and the main konoha structure/main gate/walls that I'm using. He's largely to thank for the amount of progress I've made in such a short amount of time and thusly gets credit in the map.

There's still a ton of work to be done for making the terrain not flat and some work to be done on a few minor details. Hopefully with using jass newgen it will help a lot since the wc3 editor limits on doodads are now forcing constraints on me.
***EDIT***
Here's the new ground tile+new Sauske+Gaara I'm using.

So my understanding is you are making two anime AoS maps? Or did you drop the other one for now.

If in fact you are doing both I would think you should try and find help in the trigger department for one. Because terraining is easy, and people get excited about their maps when the terrain is done. Same with the object editing. But triggers is where it makes or breaks a map, in terms of both actual development, and the gameplay.

The other is being converted to an RPG it'll take a while before that one is even remotely ready for triggers. This map is getting an overhaul. I'm redesigning Konoha to look more like a city and less like a village.

That's the general template.
