Battle.net: Disconnected for 5 minutes when joining a game

Very frequently lately, when I try to join a game on Battle.net, I instantly get a message that "Battle.net has cancelled the connection" and then I'm forced back to the WC3 start menu (the menu when loading the game). If I try to reconnect to that gateway, I'll keep getting "Battle.net has refused the connection." This lasts for about 5-10 minutes, after which I can go on that gateway again. Then, if I try to join a game again, the process repeats, so I can't play at all.

This hasn't been any map in particular. Has anyone experienced this really annoying error before, and what to do to stop it ?

When you try to join a game? One possibility is that you might be copy/pasting game names (from places like the makemehost website), and if you accidentally include weird characters (tabs and the like), bnet will automatically kickban you for 5 minutes.

Yup, what Kaijyuu said. I figured this out by asking on ENT and the explanation was that it copied some web code that battle.net didn't like.
