-.- thats alot of zerglings.
Its gonna be like in C&C generals Zero Hour, mass 100 or so and charge, basicly an instant victory, and use them agains Zealots, they will charge into there own demise, BOO suicide units!
If you could afford to throw away 100 of them in the first place, they would be slaughtered by a decent force of M&M (Marines/Medics), Tanks, Jackals, and/or air units, or Collosi/Stalkers/Air/etc with Protoss, or Mutas/Hydras/etc with Zerg.
Well, i personally don't like the idea of massing sappers, no matter what game r we talking about. The only thing i like about these is the model tbh, but they might show rather usable when controlled by someone who's not ... me
If Zerglings are still weak against Siege Tanks, I think Banelings would be easily taken out with a few tanks.
Siege Tanks are even better now, though they cost more resources, as well as three supply (As of blizzcon 2007, but that's the last available info on them to my knowledge...)
Tanks will be owned by zerglings, always.
It depends on how the tanks are placed, and any support they have.
Tanks get owned by about everything except Marines, Dragoons, Hydralisks, and Metal when unsupported...
I don't really see the tank as effective in starcraft 2 then it was in starcraft. The stalkers will brobably be able to blink into masses of them and do kind of a stalker bomb. immortals and their shields, zealots with there speed ability.those protoss units can get close to the tank to fast.
Thease dudes don't really look powerful. If they don't swarm you up totally, I think you can handle them with a few siege tanks.
seige tanks need to have a machine gun on them, much more cooler and realistic that way, and no more tanks weak vs certain infantry, and banshees need to have a mahince gun as well.
That kills the concept of the siege tank.
As JS said, that kills the concept of the Siege Tank.
That would quite likely make them rather imbalanced.
StarCraft is not realistic.
all you need is a couple marines and medics to protect a seige tank well.
I would probably keep a few banelings with me to do some splash damage then finish off with some zerglings.
Banelings would own zerglings too.
Well, if you make the machine gun miss its target sometimes, that way the games balanced and looks even cooler, and how does it ruin the concept of the seige tank, tanks today have machine guns.
.... its starcraft we're talking about Grade_A_Kill. You dont change a siege tank. Its not REAL LIFE!
in starcraft... ITS A SIEGE TANK NOT A WAR TANK TANK MODERN WORLD TANK!
How about burrowing these things on either sides of a narrow land bridge and then raising them anytime enemy forces get by?
Oh, but they're so cute. Disgustingly cute.
i dont think they can burrow.
