Baldurs Gate II Problem

I have a problem in BG2 that makes some things in game impossible. When im going alone without party at day i see only a bit of the place i see fast nothing and when i want shoot with a crossbow or a normal bow my hero goes to enemy and shoot , he never shoot from more than 1meter another heroes can normal see and normal shoot me not and i too thing i miss many times , its possible to get in the game BLIND ? My char is :
Elf
Thief
Evil

Too when i want use a thief ability for sample horror (i dont know english name i have it in czech but the effect is enemyes arent with a red ring but with a yellow they dont attack and run and come back) that ability was a shoot ability not touch or so , shoot now i must go to the enemy and use it.

I think you must redo your character, because I never had that problem.

Or you just got no arrows to shoot, haha.

OK I started new game , too a thief but now human and i do the game solo , i dont like to be a member of party and control many characters i like mor solo... and i want ask... does exist a editor for maps to baldurs gate ? To make more maps items and so ? For sample some mods and upgrades downloads too... or you can play only the 2 Games ? Shadow of Amn and Throne of Bhaal...
And how looks a internet BG2 game ?

I've beaten BG 2 as a Kensai Mage dual class, and as a conjurer (no party members or cheats). The only part that was frustrating was the Underdark, where there was some kind of creature that could 1 hit kill your character easily.

Also, I beat Icewind Dale 2 as a Sorceror with no party members, and in my opinion, Icewind dale is a fair ammount harder than BG (you start as level 1). It was exceptionally harder because of the fact that I was playing a Sorceror (1 spell FTL).

OK i was playing my last game where is my char not blind and i make a quest i need to steal a golden statue and before that i talk and then i give a donation and so then i go to the heal , revive and so... there is a spell that heals all damage and blind people so i used and ... I CAN SEE !!! Problem away

You sure you didn't choose "Drow" as race? (It's an option with one of the user-made mods) They're blind at day...

The only mods available are mods that
- increase difficulty (but if you're going solo you probably can't play the game on insane anyway) by additional AI
- Add monsters
- Modify spells (making some more powerful)
- Adding NPC's you can invite to your party (e.g. the vampire lady, forgot her name...)
- Adding new classes (e.g. Antipaladin)

I don't think that's possible... Dual classes can't be specialized, can they? You sure you weren't a normal fighter-mage?

Illithids? They needed 2 hits. One to "initialize" their attack (did like 1 damage but gave you the time to back away) and one final blow that kills you...

And how looks a internet BG2 game ?

I played it on lan and it basically looks the same as the normal game... There's only "1" main character (for story purposes) so only one "main" player but anyone can initialize a conversation or do anything they want. Only big difference is that to pause the game you need to hit "spacebar" twice...

I also think you're missing part of the fun... The NPC's you take in your party sometimes have some funny conversations

Yeah, I like games that have only one main character, but Baldur's Gate is a big exception, I mean, where else can you hear the dialogues of one of the coolest game characters ever, like Minsc (and Boo ^_^). I definitely agree with Eleandor.

I like games that are good RPGs on style Dungeon and Dragons or Fallout (not 3 ,tactics and BOS) but those games i cant find , i know there is a game Arcanum i tried to find it in Internet Shop but i found nothing... and i dont know more games only IceWind from this thread but too dont found... i searched on 2 sites maybe i try another there are too games but they must be in cze... i think a game from america i dont become . Anybody know too some good RPGs of type Fallout or Baldurs Gate ? And a question about baldurs gate 2... there are quests with earth golems , kill a magician from the magicians that comes when you cast spells and from the building that teleported in the city the golems are verry strong and i dont know how to kill them except magic... by last fight died Yoshimo and another party members was fast dead...
And its normal that thief miss more as hit ? I think yes but i dont know.

Try Neverwinter Nights, if you haven't played it. The first game or the second if you want (but I like the first one more). You can try Planescape Torment too, it's a little old, but so is Baldur's Gate and it's still a classic.

I started as a Kensai, and then dual-classed into a mage, so I know it works. It might not have worked the other way around (starting as a mage). Are you sure you aren't thinking of a multi-class?

LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY if you got problems do as i do .... Cheat your ass off. Like me i changed one thing in the game file and now my hero has 2 dragons as familiars, i am max level and i have all the best equipment at level 1 lol and i can kill in one hit and i can heal anything i want. Seriously cheat now.. I Command you MUHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!

Kensai-Mage has the reputation of the most successful Dual-Class in Baldur's Gate II. Dual class can specialize, but not Multi-class.
I finished the game with a Kensai-Mage, it took like three hits to kill Irenicus on "Hard" (Of course this was after I got his defences down with my mage spells). (Wiht no cheats, I might add! )

I chosed Short Sword , Dagger , Katana , Long Sword and maximum to one weapon was 1 point but every level i dont get points for the weapon ability so thief cant get more as 4 points (the points at start) ?

Do you really expect to see a Thief dual-wielding a halberd and a bow at the same time?

I recommend you the Bard class if you want to have fun with a Thief body and halberds.

i found some fire arrows in the castle or tower... im not good with a bow but to kill them i think it will help ty its hard when you fight with 5 trolls and any killed will again attack you with full health .

Ok... Been a while since I played the game so it might be possible to get a specialization in dual class...

It took me 15 minutes to kill Irenicus with a 6 ppl party at hardest difficulty (had to try a few times). I'm personally blaming aerie who had to die every time from a magic missile
(hell took me even longer, with those demons...)
But I guess that's what makes the game challenging: how the hell do I keep aerie alive

You're going to need fire or acid. The easiest way to "get" fire is by using a bow + fire arrows. If you're doing the "Castle" quest, there's some guy at the west of the map who gives fire arrows for free. Due to a bug, you can keep asking for more fire arrows

Quest is done castle is mine every one week i get 500gp and i found usefull things , the spell in a ring stone to meat so i killed the stone golems up in the house of the magician the magician that will Edwin see dead but the magician is the strongest enemy what i meet , the iron golem was strong 30damage per hit quick and slows you but he cant walk throught the door but this mage he makes the door but is invisible then he shoots something on me and that kills me on 1HIT what is that for a spell ??? Oh and why is by leather armor better defend number as by iron armor by the leather it is 8 and by a plate armor 2... and i forget where i get the map to the Umar Village...

Mage is dead but it was hard my max hit was 20 by a critical and normal was 1 and he invisibled self and casted the kill spell but i killed him first... i hope the another mages dont know that and dont try to kill me

Expansion included yeah and I believe it was normal or hard, been awhile since I played it.

Who is in your party. Currently I have:
Keldorn - Paladin
Korgan - Berserker
Edwin - Conjurer
Imoen - Mage/Thief
My Character - Cleric

and I've been able to play through on hard like a breeze. I originally had Yoshimo, but lost him (won't reveal how in case I spoil it for anyone).I'll probably fill the spot with Sarevok.

If you're at the castle quest, you might as well just use the flail of ages to finish off any trolls.

The castle is good , some people comes you help them you get exp and money every week 500gp... and why is a full plate armors number of defend 2 and by a not expensive bad leather armor 7 ? Is there 2 better as 7 ????? and i had 3 defend number then i used a ring +2 to defend and its 1 so a lower number is better ? and what is THAC0 ?

Im on the Pirate Island i go up to the mountains and want leave the city but when i enter the traveling on the map it says "WRONG DISC PLEASE INSERT DISC 3" i insert disc 3 but it does nothing , the disc is readable so why i cant continue playing ?

I got no idea, probally a damaged disc.

No that is not that problem i think the disc is perfect and can be openened perfectly in E:\ but i need to go there or i cant do anything... there are pirates that say nothing no quests and the captain of the ship is away.

The problem is maybe in the Folder CD 3 so i delete all and put from CD3 to the folder DATA all maybe it will work... i hope
Dont work... but i dont want reinstall it there must be another way.

Take a backup of the saves and reainstall, always get's rid of your problems.

But he turns into a demi-skull thing?

I tried it super early in the game, and couldd take out his first carnation, but not the next.

BG2 is a party-based RPG. The whole point of it is to play it with a party. If you don't, you miss half of its awesomeness.

Sure, if you want to play a game just to be able to say "Well I'm so pro I beat it on hard with one character", go ahead, but I prefer to get immersed in the roleplaying.

I don't like to look up techniques on the internet that help you kill bosses easier. To me, that's almost as bad as a plot spoiler.

I would agree with most of what you're saying, Void. One doesn't play through the entire game time several times just to say that they've beaten it. It's for entertainment, and God what entertainment!
But if you cannot kill some boss, I think it's acceptable to look to the internet for the answer (After a sufficient amount of trying yuourself, of course).

'cause it's really boring not being able to get the Ring of Gaxx, just because you can't figure out a way to defeat an almsot impossible boss..

The dungeon or what is it where you Bodhi give a bit chance me and Imoen the mumii is invulbare for weapons what i have and that is the electric hammer my favorite havent any other so Imoen was shooting fireballs and finaly we killed the monster there is a bigger problem Imoen cant heal and my healing abilities are away... the slow poison and all others except berserker away and that was my trick to get str 22 and beat fast all enemy now we cant heal and i used all potions then there is a VAMPIRE that i cant hit with weapon and Imoen cant go near to him because he drains levels then she cant cast good spells (2 levels down and my last spell was rainbow ball or what name is it) i will try it again some day but not now thats impossible so the spells in hero abilityes was the power of Bhaal... im LOST.

I found a ring of regen so it helped me but by Fight with Irenicus he escape that was the 15min fight or do you meet him again ? Oh and can be a dead characer revived and how ? I know in the church is a spell for 2000 or so ressurection but do the character revive with all items or so ?

A Cleric got a Revive spell and there are Revive scrolls scattered through the game. And no, the dead don't take their stuff with them, so if someone of your party dies, grab all his/her stuff and revive her at a Church. Or at that spot after the fight, because when you revive a party member they'll have 1% HP.

Finaly i won the battle Imoen fast died (The double imoen killed her fast) but i killed the double first then the assasins so we used speed spell and run away then a bit wait and i killed them in another form but now i need to find a horn to open the dock doors but the Pirate Master is away (I tried to ask him about the place where i need to go and he will go to the magicians to say them i want go there i never saw him again) in the house of the Cayia or what is her name is not the horn is it possible the Pirate Master toke the horn with him when he was going to the magicians ? I dont want try the portals last try and a Werewulf killed me he is invulbare he heals himself...and then there is a demon. Where is the Horn ?
And how many levels have the tower where you must go with a scroll so the evil from the tower cant escape its the tower where you can go too in the upgrade is the tower so hard or have many levels ? The first level is hard there are statues and when you take a gem they live and are hard to kill.
