Hello fellow gamers! This is Ant Wars, basically an inspiration from simAnts and bug evo. This is my first map, so please let me know if there are any problems, or if something is buggy, at kook87@gmail.com. Basically, you are an ant colony, and you must wipe out all of the other colonies. By collecting seeds, and by killing animals, you gain food for the colony. By chopping down grass stalks (haha) you harvest Materials, which are used to build pebble launchers, fight trainers (barracks), and ant shelters. there are also 'unmined' colony locations, where you can build a secondary base. i hope everyone likes this map, but since this is my first complete try, i expect that i shall see complaints.

new: ABC book, which allows you to strengthen your units; starter units

NOTE: AI DOESNT WORK! IF YOU TRY USING THE AI, YOU SHALL BE SORELY DISSAPOINTED!!

    Sounds interesting. But did you make the map from scratch? You are saying its a ripoff, is it a joke or you took SimAnt or Bug Evolution and remade it?

    i made this map from scratch, but i got most of the ideas from bug evolution and sim ant. the 'diggable' colony areas was sim-ant, and the bug/animal hunting was from bug evo. Otherwise, the entire map was from scratch.

    Inspiration is okay of course, I would suggest you remove the rip off thing from the description as it isn't nice to read. Simply say you were inspired by those maps. I'l comment ant review this map tomorrow.

    A fun map, I liked how trees actually grow and how you actually have to go and look for them instead of having a large patch that lasts you a long time.
    You should add more units and buildings, maybe even humans as neutral passives, that are really strong but give heaps of bounty
    The 2 towers are the same, and their tooltips are stuffed up!

    To get a Hive grade over 1/5 at least 50% of the 80 (Triggered map) or of the 100 (Cinematic map) points is needed. That means at least 40 or 50 points. However if a map gets rated over 1/5 by me, that doesn't mean that I will imidietly vote it to be approved.

    I saw maps like this before, you haven't implemented anything special.

    Object editor work: 1 point
    Very bad. My main building could still have call to arms from the humans. Hotkeys aren't distincted from the word.

    Scripting: 1 point
    • Unit - Create 1 Scorpion for Neutral Hostile at (Random point in (Playable map area)) facing Default building facing degrees

    So this can basicly create a unit at my start location?

    Terrain: 2 points
    Very very bad. It was boring and nothing much of a terrain.

    Bug Free: 2 point
    The Milita is a huge bug, the defective scripting causes bugs if a rock chunk or a unit is created at the base. Invalid hotkeys.

    Gameplay/Fun Factor: 3 point
    It's just no fun playing this map. You have one race with 6 buildings. Very boring.

    Lag: 7 points
    No lag, a bit of a long loading time, dunno why.

    Proper submission and crediting: 2 points
    You need more description and make the description a lot more nicer. Include images too.

    In overall: 20 / 80
    25%
    minimal 50% not met.
    For the hive grade: 1/5 I suggest this map for: Rejection

    In overall it is a map that is just bad. I can't say much more, it is a Altered Melee with unnecesary defective scripting. It has to many flaws that must be improved. Don't let me discourage you, but I am telling the simple truth. Improve and update, as this is a long way till approval.

    I'm sorry but this map is very bad.
    I believe it has potential but there are a few issues that make it unplayable.

    • The player sometimes spawns with an enemy Queen Ant
    • Some spawn locations have no exits due to bad terraining.
    • There are models that don't fit their names or uses, for examples trees are called grass.
    • There's no AI.
