Look at the following picture. I think that's a bug. I have so many great avatars but I can't use them because of this bug + the maximum limit is so slow. If you would ask me, I would increase the maximum limit from 250kt to 350kt and fix this bug.

What do you think?

Yeah, but when he selects a datasource ... does it really care about the location? I thought if you upload from a url, that file will also be checked. Wouldn't it be dumb to not do so?

?? I have upped 100% quality igh res jpegs and used them in a few sites, without reaching the limit. (I did reach it, but no error)

high-rezed-jpgs are not as big as .bmps. Try to upload a .bmp from another webside.
Anyway, if the limit will not be reached, this means the HWS will only save a link to the avatar, which means, if the file is getting removed, your avatar also will become removed.
