Brief:

Starraise is a map that features great PvP combat. Starraise has a total of 9 different classes- Warrior, Warlock, Druid, Rogue, Priest, Paladin, Hunter, Shaman and Mage. Each class have their own unique qualities and advantages. This map was made to host 'arena' style battles; 2v2, 3v3 and
4v4.
Starraise also features alot of different gear sets. From PvE gear sets to PvP gear sets to create a uniqueness about each of the characters.



You're needed in this project!
The alpha testing of all the classes needs to be done to achieve some sort of balance. We need at the least, 3 different testers for close-to accurate testing. Bug reporting, taking notes of what's overpowered or underpowered or even just right is also needed. Remember, even if it is fun- we need data.

Simple, if you have innovative and creative ideas about abilities, gear/weapons, class goals, map goals.

I'm trying to assemble somewhat of a team, working by myself so far has been pretty fustrating to this map. Originally I started thinking I can do it by myself, but the type of map that I want to make requires alot of interaction and several thoughts coming from different sources.

I might have my look on things and some people may have a different view. I want this, I want the creation to be somewhat challenged rather than just be one-minded.

I could help a bit with triggering and some with ideas ^^ I concider myself to be somewhat advanced in triggering but not a pro and ideas come and go :cute: I'm not 100% sure that I can always help since I'm working on my own arena map but I've kinda come to a stop (mostly lack of people that I can trust and test with) and on the side I'm helping my friend with his map.

What do you need specifically? i am OK with anything but JASS and Modeling. Great with triggers (well OK, lol) and graet with units, ablities, Ect. but i need to know more about the map: goals Style Ect. Thnx!


I need another trigger programmer, a modeler, mapper and testers. The goal of the map is arena combat- 3v3 combat. (Short and very brief info)

Users will pick 3 of the 9 classes.
They will start at opposite sides of the arena and begin combat.

Starraise is an arena map where several different classes can compete in team combat to attain victory to unlock better rewards (gear etc). It will be very similar to WoW's current arena but will have more obstacles to make it more spicy.




CLASSES
-------

DRUID
* Powerful healer and spellcasting class. Druids depend on nature as their ally which they use
to trap, confuse and entangle an opponent. Druids are very powerful healers and they're
uniqueness comes from being the best HoT (Heal over Time) healer in the game.
- Rejuvenation: Heals a friendly unit for 3400 hit points over 14 seconds.
- Entangling Roots: Causes roots to burst from the ground, immobilizing and disarming a target
enemy unit for 6 seconds, and dealing 50 damage per second.
- Moonfire: Burns the enemy for 3*INT damage and additional 1200 damage over 12 seconds.
- Innervate: Restores all mana to a unit.
- Tranquility: Causes rains of healing energy to pour down in a large area, healing 850 damage
every 2 sec for the next 15 seconds.
- Thorns Aura: A natural aura grants the Druid protection harm and deals 75 damage to an
enemy melee units that attack him.



HUNTER
* Powerful ranged class, specializing in trapping and tricking their targets for victory.
Hunters can also summon animals to aid them in combat.
- Summon Pet Bear: Summons a powerful bear; capable of several abilities.
- Concussive Sting: Shoots a target for 400 damage then causes 75 damage every sec for the next 6 sec.
- Ensare: Traps a target in place for 5 sec.
- Wryven Sting: Knocks a target out of combat for 6 sec.
- Aimed Shot: Causes base damage plus 700 in addition to 4*AGI.
- Wing Clip: Slows enemy movement speed by 60% for 6 sec.



MAGE
* Powerful spellcasting class, specializing in casting fireballs, frostbolts and several other
magical abilities to aid them in combat.
- Polymorph: Turns the target into a sheep for 5 sec.
- Pyroblast: Causes 200 damage plus 7*INT as bonus damage.
- Mana Shield: Absorbs 15% of damage but uses 10% of your mana whenever you take damage.
- Blink: Teleports away from melee range.
- Blizzard: Calls down waves of ice shards, causing 355 damage per wave.
- Frost Nova: Freezes targets in place for 5 sec.
- Summon Water Elemental: Summons a pet water elemental to aid you in combat.



PALADIN
* Hybrid class, capable of healing or rolling on the front lines alongside warriors. They
use the power of light to fuel them.
- Hammer of Justice: Stuns a target for 5 sec.
- Flash Heal: Heals a target for 850 damage.
- Holy Light: Heals a target for 2000 damage.
- Brilliance Aura: Increases mana regeneration by 20% to nearby friendly units.
- Divine Shield: Makes the paladin completely invunerable for 10 sec.
- Crusader Strike: Causes 200 damage plus 6*STR and restores 90 mana whenever used.
- Judgement of Light: Causes 6xINT and 6xSTR damage to an opponent as holy damage.



PRIEST
* Powerful healing class. Priests can be very durable if used in the right hands and can
keep their allies up with their exceptional healing abilities. They too can be fueled
by the light or even dark powers.
- Mind Flay: Drains 177 hit points and slows enemy movement speed by 50%.
- Renew: Heals a friendly unit for 2500 hit points over 15 seconds.
- Mana Burn: Burns 180 mana and deals the damage it burns on the unit.
- Greater Heal: Heal a friendly unit for 2260 damage.
- Silence: Stops all enemies from casting spells for 5 sec.
- Inner Fire: Increases a target friendly unit's armor by 5 for 120 seconds.
In addition, increases all damage done by 9%.
- Shadow Word: Pain: A word of darkness that deals 1440 damage over 12 seconds.



ROGUE
* Deadly melee class, capable of very high mobility attacks. Rogues are meant to harass
and wear out an enemy. With a very capable arsernal of abilities, rogues can be
the most annoying enemy to step toe to toe with.
- Sinister Strike: Instant strike that causes 150 damage plus 2.5*AGI additional damage.
- Slice and Dice: Increases attack speed by 30% and movement speed by 50% for 15 seconds.
- Eviscerate: Instant attack that causes 450 damage and 5*AGI additional damage.
- Kidney Shot: Stuns a target for 4 sec.
- Stealth: Makes this unit invisible until cancelled.
- Evasion: Gives a 20% chance to avoid an attack.
- Crippling Poison and Rupture: A poison attack that slows the target enemy's movement
by 75% for 6 seconds. And causes 480 damage over the duration.



SHAMAN
* Hybrid class, capable of being an excellent group healer, an extremely dangerous elemental
caster to be feared or a melee-spell hybrid in the front lines.
- Healing Wave: Heals a target for 1850 damage then bounces back to an additional 6 targets.
- Blood Lust: Increases attack speed by 35% for 60 seconds.
- Flame Shock: Burns the enemy for 50 damage plus an additional 2xINT, 2xAGI and 2xSTR for
damage and an additional 750 damage over 10 seconds.
- Frost Shock: Shocks the target enemy with a wave of frost, dealing 250 damage and slowing
movement speed by 50% for 8 seconds. In addition, causes 2x INT, 2xAGI and 2xSTR as bonus damage.
- Chain Lightning: Calls forth a bolt of lightning that bounces up to 3 times, dealing 180 damage on
the primary target. Causes 7xINT as bonus damage.
- Stormstrike: Instantly attacks with both weapons for 200 damage plus 5xSTR and 5xAGI, removing all buffs for 1 sec.
5 sec cooldown. Use of stormstrike will also restore 110 mana when used.
- Snake Totem: Summons an immobile snake totem to attack the Shaman's enemies



WARLOCK
* Powerful spellcasting class, capable of tanking damage better than any other caster and
dishing out volatile spells to destroy their enemies.
- Shadow Bolt: Causes 300 damage plus 6*INT as additional damage.
- Summon Felguard: Summons a demon that has several abilities to aid it's master in combat.
- Hellfire: Sends waves of hellfire at everyone in the surrounding area. Caues 400 damage per wave.
- Curse of Exhaustion: Slows movement and attack speed by 20%.
- Life Drain: Drains 155 hit points per sec to the warlock for the duration of 6 sec.
- Corruption: A curse that deals 2000 damage over 10 seconds.



WARRIOR
* Powerful melee class, capable of taking and dishing out large damage. Warriors can be
a skilled master of arms, an impenetrable juggernaught capable of withstanding absurd
amounts of damage or brutal berserker.
- Mortal Strike: A vicious attack that deals (7*STR) in physical damage plus 300 damage.
- Charge: Quickly dash to an opponent, stunning them for 3 seconds and causing 126 damage.
- Shield Wall: Reduces all damage taken by 75% (This spell needs to be reworked).
- Heroic Strike: Causes base damage plus an additional 980.
- Bladestorm: Causes a bladestorm of destructive force around the Warrior, causing a whirlwind
attack for 850 damage every second for the next 6 seconds. While under the effects of Bladestorm,
the warrior feels no pity, fear or remorse and cannot be stopped unless killed.
- Hamstring: Slows movement speed by 50% for 10 sec.

Besides the descriptions, I would need help in the following departments.
- Itemization Crew. (You make gear with certain stats, it requires a decent amount of math and I can explain it in depth further)
- Trigger Crew. (1-2 members should be efficient. I can do a little but I'm no expert at it).
- Testing Crew. (2-4 members should be the least. This is very important for valuable data)
- Modelers.
- Mapper.


KEEP IN MIND!: The models WILL change. It's called Alpha for a reason, the map will experience a dramatic overhaul.

Good Tester (I can be somewhat over-analytical.)
Never produced a map but have started like 50+ so I am looking to finish one.
I have a built in idea factory so I'm good with that too.
Also if you want to have people choose custom abilities then I have an item to ability system.

WARCRAFT: STARRAISE



VER. 1.0



GENERAL

-------
* All classes have had their base hp increased by 150.
* All mana regeneration has been decreased to 1% per 1 Intelligence. (Down from 15%)
--This change was done to prevent Intelligence from scaling out of control. Healing gear
depends mainly on the Mana Regen stat and has a little bit of Intelligence to offer
some offense. However, tests proved that Intelligence was scaling better for not only
Healers, but also for DPS classes (That use mana). Now healers will have to stack more
mana regen for OHD (Overall Healing Done) and DPS classes will have to make wise decisions
to balance their downtime with mana and their damage.
* Mana regeneration has been increased by 300%.


PvP

* All druids have had their mana regeneration rate decreased by 10%.
* Cyclone duration has been increased by 1 sec.
* Druids have had their main stat changed from Agility to Intelligence.
* Druid model has been changed to Malfurion (Without Stag) and the

* Entangling Roots has had it's duration increased by 3 sec.
* Innervate now fully restores all mana. Cooldown decreased to 2 min.
* Moonfire's damage has been reduced by 2xINT (Previously 5xINT) and it's mana
cost has been increased by 56.
* Rejuvenation- The amount of hp healed from this ability has been increased by
1750.
* Tranquility- The total damage healed from this ability is now 2625 (Up from 675).


HUNTER
* Aimed Shot- Casting time decreased by 0.77 sec and the cooldown on this ability
has been increased by 2 sec. Damage increased by 150. Bonuses from agility has been
decreased to 4 (Down from 7).


MAGE

* Blizzard now recieves a 5xINT bonus damage.
* Fireball renamed to Pyroblast. Damage done from this ability has been decreased by 150
and the casting time has been increased by 10%. Cooldown has been reduced by 10%.
* Frost Nova now recieves a 8xINT bonus damage and it's duration has been increased by
2.5 sec.
* Mage model scale has been increased by 20%.
* Mana Shield- The amount of mana this ability drains has been decreased by 1
and the amount absorbed has been decreased by 90%.
* Polymorph's mana cost reduced by 120 and the duration has been increased by 1 sec.
Casting time increased by 0.15 sec.


PALADIN
* All Paladins have had their strength per level increased by 12%.
* *NEW SPELL* Brilliance Aura has been added. Aura which increases mana regeneration
by 250%.
* Consecrate's damage has been increased to 720 damage over 8 sec. (Up from 320)
* Devotion Aura has been removed.
* Flash Heal- healing has been increased by 350 and mana cost by 25.
* Hammer of Justice- The cooldown on this ability has been reduced by 30 sec and the
duration on the stun has been increased by 1 sec.
* Holy Light- Healing done from this ability has been increased to 2000 (Up from 1550).
* Holy Shock has been renamed to Judgement of Light and the base damage of this ability
has been increased by 30. The bonus gains from this spell has also been increased,
STRx5 and INTx7 (Previously STRx2 and INTx4) In addition, the mana cost of this
ability has been decreased by 150.


PRIEST
* Greater Heal has had it's healing value increased to 2260 (up from 1900) and it's mana
cost reduced by 120.
* Inner Fire- The damage gained by this ability has been decreased by 3% and the amount
of armor gained by this ability has also been decreased by 24%. Duration increased to
3 minutes.
* Mana Burn- Mana burned from this ability has been reduced by 75 and the mana cost
has been increased by 75. Cooldown reduced to the GCD.
* Renew- Total health gained from this ability is now 2000. (Up from 900).
* Shadow Word: Pain- damage from this ability has been increased to 120 damage per sec.
(Up from 58)


ROGUE
* All Rogue attack speed has been increased by 11%.
* Blind has been removed.
* Crippling Poison and Rupture- The total damage caused from this ability has been
increased by 66.
* Evasion's dodge rate has been reduced by 12%.
* Eviscerate's damage has been increased by 200 and now recieves a bonus of 6xAGI.
* Intelligence on Rogues have been reduced to 1. Instead, a flat Maximum of 100 Energy
has been added instead of depending on Intelligence.
* *NEW ABILITY* Kidney Shot has been added. Attacks a vital organ, immediately stunning
an opponent for 4 sec. (15 sec Cooldown, 30 energy cost).
* Sinister Strike's damage has been increased by 100 and recieves an additional 1xAGI.
* Sinister Strike's energy cost has been reduced by 5.
* Slice and Dice- The energy cost on this ability has been reduced by 10 and the attack
speed bonus recieved from this ability has been increased by 5%.


SHAMAN
* Chain Lightning has had it's mana cost reduced by 260.
* Healing Wave- Healing done from this ability has been increased to 1850 (Up from 1200)
and it's mana cost has been increased by 25.
* Flame Shock- The bonus gains from this ability has been increased- 3xSTR, 2xAGI and 3xINT.
(Up from 2x INT). The mana cost of this ability has been increased by 10.
* Frost Shock- The bonus gains from this ability has been increased- 3xINT, 3xAGI and

15.
* Intelligence on Warriors have been reduced to 1. Instead, a flat Maximum of 100 Rage
has been added instead of depending on Intelligence.
* Rage on attacks has been increased by 5.
* Rage loss from not attacking has been reduced by 20%.
* Warrior (Arms) model size has been increased by 10%.



ITEMS

* Auto-Blaster X533 has had an additional 19 Agility added.
* Mighty Leather Battlegear has had it's set bonus changed from 5% increased attack speed to
5% increased energy regeneration rate.
* Mighty Chain Battlegear has had it's intelligence stats removed. Instead, this set will now
recieve a flat mana pool increase bonus.
* Nerubian Bullet has had an additional 10% ranged attack speed increase added.

* Mana Shield- Amount of damage absorbed has been increased by 5%, mana reduced from the shield
per hit has been reduced to 0.50 per hit point.
* Polymorph- Casting time reduced by 0.15 sec.
* Pyroblast- Mana cost reduced by 100.
* Summon Water Elemental- Mana cost reduced by 50. Summoning the Water Elemental will now
restore 600 mana when used.



PALADIN
* Crusader Strike- Cooldown reduced to 4 sec. (Down from 6 sec) Base damage increased
to 225. (Up from 200)
* Hammer of Justice- Cooldown increased by 10 sec.
* Holy Light- Mana cost reduced by 3, healing value increased by 200.
* Judgement of Light- Damage reduced to 4xStr and 5xINT. (Down from 6xSTR/INT)




PRIEST
* Mana Burn- Mana cost reduced by 25.
* Shadow Word: Pain- Damage per sec increased by 60. Cooldown increased to 5 seconds.



ROGUE

* Crippling Poison- Total amount of damage done from this ability has been increased by
300.
* Energy regeneration rate has been decreased by 3%.
* Sinister Strike's tooltip has been fixed.



SHAMAN
* Chain Lightning- Mana cost increased by 100, cooldown increased by 1 sec.
Base damage reduced by 50.
* Flame Shock- Cooldown increased by 1 sec.
* Frost Shock- Base damage reduced by 100, cast range increased by 10 yards.
Bonus from INT damage increased by 1. Cooldown of 6 seconds has been added.
* Healing Wave- Healing value increased by 150.
* Searing Snake Totem- Now also increases mana regeneration by 15%.
* Stormstrike- Mana cost reduced by 5 and the duration increased by 1 sec.



WARLOCK
* Corruption- Total damage over time done from this ability has been increased
by 150 damage per sec. Burst damage removed. Mana cost increased by 96.
* Hellfire has been removed.
**NEWSPELL* Fel Armor- 33% chance to reduce all attacks on the unit by 250 damage.
Attacks cannot be reduced below 3 damage.
**NEW SPELL* Inferno- Calls an Infernal down from the sky, dealing 200 damage
and stunning enemy land units for 2 seconds in an area. The Infernal lasts
60 seconds. 150 Mana cost, 2 minute cooldown.
* Shadow Bolt- Cooldown increased to 6 sec, base damage reduced by 150. Mana cost
increased by 125.
* Summon Felguard- Mana cost increased by 50.
- Felguard's damage has been increased to 150. (Up from 90.)
- Intercept removed.



WARRIOR
* Charge- Use of charge will now also reward 15 rage.
* Heroic Strike- Damage decreased to 800 bonus. (Down from 880). Tooltip also fixed.
* Mortal Strike has been redesigned- The warrior attacks with such force for 300 damage
plus 6*STR bonus damage which gravely wounds the target, bleeding them for 300 damage
per sec for the next 8 sec.
