This is an update for Vile1's AoM SE map, with ofcourse his full permission.

What is Age of Myths?
An advanced AoS map. Purely written in jass, sporting numerous advanced features & high quality content.

Features
  • Custom Hero Skins
    - Made specifically for this map, each hero with its own unique theme. Some skins were edited to fit the map (Credits are given through F9 and in opening screen)
  • Custom Effects
    - Visually appealing & awesome spell effects made by vile1/kabal specifically for this map
  • Awesome Spells
    - Advanced never seen before spells that will leave you with an open mouth; every spell has been designed carefully with the community members, and has been well scripted in jass, memory leak free. It is recommended that you have an upgraded graphics card due to the intensity of the effects.
    Some abilities may seem complicated, it may be advisable to read guides and spell descriptions before using your spells so you can know what they do and how to use them wisely. They aren't just click and go.
  • Wonderful Terrain
    - Highly strategic with 4 lanes to ambush your enemies with alot of free space to move & hide around.
  • Over 300 items
    - Many choices & options to go with, including sideshops and items to gain from hero kills.
  • Command Menu
    - A comfortable & easy to use menu. Instead of the usual -commands, just type -menu for an enhanced menu with many options.
  • Assistance System
    - Allows you to still receive a part of the gold from a hero kill if you assisted
    the kill in any way. This rewards & encourage more teamwork.
  • Experience System
    - A highly customized Hero experience system allowing you to exit battles for fetching items without being heavily penalized in the experience that your enemies would gain.
    Also allows 2 heroes in the same area to gain the same amount of experience
    (more then 2 will result a split of XP among the rest of the allied heroes)
  • Bounty System
    - Allows you to creep gold as long as you keep hitting them. This eliminates the last hit reward problem on most AoS maps out there as well as giving all Players & Heroes a fair chance at farming.
  • Rematch Option
    - No need to restart the game all over again. If you have enough players, you can just vote for a rematch through the menu or just simply wait for the game to finish. Automatically switches your sides (you will be dark if you were light and vice versa) within a short duration of only 15 seconds.
  • Rebalance Option
    - Got a 4v2? 5v3? A small command through -menu will allow you to rebalance the teams, and a random player(s) will move to the other team, so that
    3v5 will become 4v4, 5v2 will become 4v3, etc. No need to restart the game just because of 1 or 2 leavers!
  • Ranking System
    - Allows you to set your rank manually with your own color and style, as well as let the game decide to update your rank with your nickname automatically as you get one.
  • Game End Statistics
    - Allow you to compare & contrast everyone's rank along with their kills, assists, deaths & much more!
    Special ranks are given depending on how you performed & played.
  • Capture the Flag
    - Capture the enemies flag for various bonuses & advantages.
  • Mercenary system
    - Mercenaries can aid you, by simply showing them the enemy's flag. Can also buy special unit deliveries from them, to blow up bridges, and thus, alot of tactics are involved.

CHANGE LOG

Multiboard

  • 12 Players - Displays both teams & all players on a single board, along with their respective scores.
  • Auto Team-Shuffle - Continuously shuffles the winning team to the top.
  • Auto Player-Shuffle - Continuously rearranges each teams players from top to bottom based on their points/score.
  • Hero Icons - Finally the multiboard has Hero Icons Yay!!

Tooltips
  • Beserker - All his ability tooltips have been remade making them clearer & easier to read.
  • If everyone is happy with the new style, I'd like to go through and redo every ability tooltip in this format.

Bugs
  • Portal Fix
    - You can no longer use Enemy Portals within their bases.

Innates
  • Storm
    - Recharge - Can now target allies. 75-125 mana recharged is now 50-100 + intelligence.
  • Headhunter
    - Stalk - 1000 AoE, +30% movement speed is now 800 AoE, +25% movement speed.
  • Beserker
    - Payback - 100 damage absorbed capacity is now 75 + strength
  • Diabolic Ranger
    - Black Arrows - 8% chance is now a flat 10%, 35 mana burned/damage dealt is now agility as burned/damage dealt
  • Firecaller
    - Flamejet - 40 damage per second is now 15 + intelligence as damage per second + 75 second cooldown is now 60 second cooldown
  • Frostfiend
    - ChillingArmor - Damage is now 10 + intelligence
  • Skeletal Marksman
    - Snipe - 35 damage per second is now 15 + agility as damage per second
  • Tarantula
    - Broodling Digestion - 5 hp + 0.75% hp per second has been changed to a flat 1% (5 hp per sec is insignifacant anyways)
  • Chujo Ryu Swordsman
    - Daitou Sakera - Now can cast at any time. dealing 30-60 + agility in damage multiplied by amount of nearby enemy units
  • Elementist
    - Liquid Conjuration - 3 second interval, 30 damage is now 2.5 second interval, intelligence as damage
  • Gigas
    - Boulder - Damage as distance travelled x 6 is now damage as distance travelled x 5 + strength added on total
  • Roland
    - Direct Ascension - 15% chance is now 30% chance
  • Blood Cultist
    - Blood Lust - The 250 AoE of triggering the effect is now 600.
  • Predator
    - Dreadpulse - Inivisibiltiy detection radius 200 is now 300
  • Dark Druid
    - Golem - 25 second duration is now 30 second duration
  • Paladin
    - Direct Ascension - Increased % channce from 25 to 40

Hero Abilities

  • Jungle Rogue
    - Long shot - Doubled the damage vs buildings, was 600 which always got reduced to roughly 150 through damage types and armor. Now comes out at roughly 300
  • Water Archon
    - Hydromancer - Increased % chance from 6/9/12/15/18 to 8/12/16/20/24 on water, with half the % chance on land.
  • Paladin
    - Prayer - Healing Aura now also effect self.

Pff he didnt change any of the critical things at all except the portal thing.
Predator
- Dreadpulse - Inivisibiltiy detection radius 200 is now 300
This one sux ass, its the worst spell ever and now INCREASING RANGE? u gotta be fucking kidding.
And to think he didnt do ANYTHING about cosmos, ninja or lich surprises me.

Jungle Rogue

As if Jungle Rogue's Omega spell wasnt weak enough, it should have bigger AoE, seriously! (by having 2-3 arrows more).

As for the other heroes, the spider shouldnt get invulnerable (but some armor bonus or invisibility), pirate remove one of the stun spells, predator removed that True Sight spell thingy, cosmos remove THE FREAKING BENDER SPELL and make omega spell less pushy, decreases damage on Dark Druids omega spell (mr. unavoidable spell) + more i dont bother writing.. zZZ

Well first it was me who made the patch & was done in about a week.
The intention is to get the ball rolling, re-gather some interest & begin to gradually address the 'serious issues' one by one.

This one sux ass, its the worst spell ever and now INCREASING RANGE? u gotta be fucking kidding.

It also grants big attack speed bonus?

And to think he didnt do ANYTHING about cosmos, ninja or lich surprises me.

Meh already on many forums, wont bother.
I hope he fixes the caster items, because there isnt really much expensive passive items for casters and taht sux.

It has a very low cooldown, so it can be used over & over regularly.
Yeah, but its still not worth using it.
It still costs too much mana, coldown is still to high and the chance for hitting is very very small unless the enemy is afk.
I've only gotten a few hits with it, but that would mainly be because i've played lots of ET :p

I dont rly like the forums, its confusing to navigate trough the posts and slightly annoying you gotta click so much.
If it had a nice navigation system for viewing the threads like on Hive it'd be nicer.

Well consider balance as something which will always be there until the final moment.

Otherwise this is currently my favorite map :D

Uhm and, Jungle Rouge kicks ass...

Ah and, didnt notice that this wasnt your map -.-

Ok a quick update, to a few horrible bugs that popped up in this ver:

CHANGELOG

Bug Fix
  • Resource Bug
    - Fixed all the resource spells for Soul Hunter, Paladin, Death Knight, Dark Druid etc. etc.
  • Multiboard Bug
    - When a player left, sometimes the multiboard icons would get slightly messed up, now fixed

Another update:

Bug Fix - 2
  • Random Races/Heroes
    - This correctly works now giving random heroes for everyone.
  • Multiboard
    - Players names now display their colours on the multiboard
    - No longer dissapears after a rematch.
  • Soul Glyphs
    - Soul Gyphs have been removed, Soul Glyph items, simply cost gold.

Should all work fine now.
Can concentrate more on some new features now :p

The last 2 versions were emergency bug patches/fixes & thus essential.
Released over 2 days.

Btw can you increase the AoE of that silence caster items, but decrease the duration to something like 5-9 seconds?

Well the items are getting completely redone (won't take too long).
So for now the current ones will probably remain as they are.
