I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the world of Ulteama.
To being with, you should know that there are six realms.
- Hell, in the Lower Realms
- The Underworld, in the Lower Realms
- Dai'Trell, in the Mid Realms
- Oceanias, in the Mid Realms
- The Skies, in the Upper Realms
- Beyond, in the Upper Realms
Very long ago, there were powerful creatures that controlled these realms. To break it up, there were the Gods, the Angels, and four Elementals. The Elementals represented different elements and were just as powerful as the Gods. Despite their more aggressive nature, they aren't considered the 'bad guys' in the world.
- Colevaronic controls the realm of Hell and the Demons.
- Mageraon controls the realm of the Underworld and the Undead.
- The Green Warrior controls the realm of Dai'Trell and it's inhabitants.
- Tiasi Secairn controls the realm of Oceanias and it's inhabitants.
- The Angelic Council control the Skies and other angels.
- And the Gods control Beyond, which is practically outer space.
A war broke out over the Gods and the Elemental Colevaronic. He led his demonic armies against the angels, who did the bidding of the Gods. Colevaronic was slowly being defeated, and set out to find allies. He went to Oceanias and begged Tiasi of her assistance, but they fell in love and mated, spawning a child who grew up with humans, but that is another story. Tiasi helped Colevaronic and slowly they beat the angels back. However, in Colevaronic's absence, the demonic armies had gotten out of control. The angels got the upper hand, working with Humanity to attack Hell. Colevaronic required more allies, and went to the Underworld to find Mageraon. However, before he left, he tore off his jaw and created the Core of Fire, which ruled in his absence. Mageraon agreed to help Colevaronic and with the power of three Elementals they pushed the angels back into the Skies, and peace settled across the world again. Meanwhile, the son of Colevaronic and Tiasi was named Haganna and grew up to be the King of Dai'Trell. The Green Warrior disappeared and created creatures to protect the forests from the humans. Tiasi wept for not being able to see her son, and created Bathemius from her tears. Bathemius had great power, but she locked it away. Mageraon formed the Fiends of Flesh, a council of human-gargoyle hybrids that were not loyal to him and wanted to take over the Underworld.
Colevaronic, Tiasi and Mageraon suddenly disappear, and hell breaks loose.
- The Core of Fire escapes from Hell and rampages the forests of Dai'Trell, destroying and burning everything in it's path. The Green Warrior is not there to stop it. The Gods manage to lock it back up in Hell.
- Two fiendish creatures, the Oculus and the Tidal Fiend, are working in Oceanias to free Bathemius so he can escape and rule the underwater realm.
- The Fiends of Flesh are now hunting all those who are loyal to Mageraon, and set the Undead loose on Humanity. They have taken over the Underworld.
This is just a quick overview of the lore behind Ulteama. If you have any suggestions, feedback or criticism, feel free to comment.
