Hello, I think this is the right place to post this!

I have been trolling around with some triggers on the World Editor.. And I have seen that an event can be for example like this

  • Trigger
  • Events - A player presses the up arrow key
And if some of you have played WOW you can steer your unit with the keys : ASDW

So I was wondering if there is possible to make an event ( I don't know jass :ugly: ) that says this :

(example)

  • Unit Movement
  • Events - A player presses the U key
  • conditions -
  • Actions - Create 1 footman for (player 1 red) at (center of playable map area) facing (default building degrees)
Is this possible???

The thing is, when if you converted that trigger to JASS, you would see that the event is a native, meaning there are no visible internal mechanisms. You would have to create your own constant native with it's own rawcode (the stuff with all the weird symbols and 1s and 0s and stuff that I don't understand) data if you wanted the engine to accept "Player presses U". Eleandor is right, though. You could make spells assigned to WASD, and have the engine register it from there.
