A question regarding blizz models

I think editing Blizzard Warcraft III models (If you're using the World Editor) or Starcraft II models (If you're using the Galaxy Editor) is fine as majority of the games (They are seen by Blizzard too) like DotA or those in The Hive Workshop use them too. But getting models from other Blizzard games or other games (If they have some copyright issue to it) is illegal so yeah, unless you really love taking huge risks of getting into trouble, don't rip off other models.

So it's allowed if you do it secretly and play it by yourself? Since when others download the map from the servers, they'd be indirectly downloading a 'rip'.

PS: I'm not too sure though, I need some clarification.
